I'd expect the next consoles to go on sale around fall 2014... cause who wants to release a console in a year with the number 13 in it. That is a bad number in gaming... just look at Final Fantasy.
Between MAG, Heavy Rain, GOW3, GT5, White Knight Chronicles, FF13, and a few other games on my backlog...... 1st quarter 2010 was looking like it was going to Kimbo Slice my wallet.
At $60 a game, a new game every 2 weeks for 10 weeks straight!?! It's enough to make you look seriously at how much you spend on your gaming addiction. This eases my pain just a little... just enough to keep my sanity... I think I have some sanity left... hold on let me check...
That is my must buy price for this game... so I'll be getting it next year. Till then can't wait for VS13.

As far as GT5 is concerned this is not competition. The pic is prerendered and thus is not in realtime... actually it's not from the game but just ads/collector's posters.
They look good but I've given up on monthly subscriptions to any single game. Can't wait for PSN Premium where you can pay one price and have access to any MMO that is available on the PS3. Here it is January and the top 360 game to discuss is the next Halo... when Halo just dropped 3 months ago. Are there no other games coming out this year for the system, or is it that MS is trying to use this one game to combat every game coming out this year.

So what your saying stanlee is that people with PCs don't like Mass Effect, Halo, Gears of War, Splinter Cell, or any game that comes on xbox360. By an extension of feeble logic, it can be concluded that if they were interested in any of these games they would have gotten an xbox360. It's kind of hard to establish a brand if every device using the same service has a different name for it. Unless they plan on adding Qriocity to the xmb for the PS3 and PSP, otherwise this new icon is redundant and Qonfusing more than anything.
Sony just needs to K.I.S.S. and include the PSStore on the new devices instead of rebranding it. There are millions of people used to calling it the PSStore so why change now.

In the near future I don't see too many multiplatform games at the top of my must have list. Likely I will get those used and for less than $25 as they tend to drop in price fairly quickly.
Well when a console only has 1-2 games released within the last 2-3 months of a year... each year... people tend to react like crackheads who just got a bird and over dose on the spot.
I'm so glad I get my fix throughout the year, too bad the latest harvest season has left me with too many buds to pick. UC2, Demons Souls, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, and a few others. And thanks to hydroponics, this spring is looking great as well with MAG, Heavy Rain, GoW3, and GT5 just to name a few. ...

Home needs to use more streaming technology to the fullest in order to drastically reduce/eliminate load times. Especially at start up where they have you go through 2-3 menus before it even loads up.
To be honest, I think they should have had SOE, the ones who made EQ and EQ2, work on Home... or at least had them build the network structure and base environment. Its a shame that each area loads as a blank slate as well as the players in it... especially when 90% of the gear they...
