same here... but after following it's development for five years I've come to accept that it's still a few years off from any public beta. Especially since the dev team haven't really given any updates since the first part of last year. So in the mean time to get my space jockey fix, I've been playing BGO.

You would think that ZGC would see NPG as a competitor to be the "authority" on game sales. This just shows where ZGC gets all it's historical data.
Wing Commander series was on the PS1. From WC1 all the way to that abomination called Prophecy. To this day it still blows most games out of the water with story and depth.
Heart of the Tiger was epic.

Lets compare 5 year old hardware graphics to the latest tech to hit the market... sure it's a fair fight. Yet the fact that the 5 year old tech is still in the running is quite an accomplishment in and of itself.
Heck, the fact that modern PC games even have to compete with consoles signals just how sad PC game Development has become. Too many devs have focused on porting console games to PC instead of making a good PC engine that it's crazy.

I started out a Sega fan as well... but when I saw Sega releasing consoles on a yearly basis, I switched to PS1. Sony has always had a good reputation for quality hardware, and when they introduced the pricing tiers I was hooked. I've owned the PS1 - PS3 and will soon get a PSP.

Until we have OFFICIAL NUMBERS, I'll remain optimistic that this is true. In the mean time I'm treating all predictions as I would VGChahahaha... em... well lets just say grains of salt add up fast.
I played in the first beta and got bored quickly. I haven't played since the update but it sounds like they have made some improvements.

I actually like the fact that it is mostly the dedicated fans playing. Means that my clan doesn't have to hold up 2-4 bunkers due to a bunch of rambos running around not reviving and repairing. Vets vs Vets makes for a fun and well rewarding victory or defeat. I can respect losing to a good clan/team, but I hate losing due to weak teamwork on our end.
If I had to choose someone who I think is a better player than you.... hmmm... then I would have to go with this guy I know named Chozenwoan from Raven: Intel Assassins.

funny as I just finished playing a few rounds... must have been just my imagination.
I played God of War 3 for 12+ hours and enjoyed every second of it.
Played FF13 for the same amount of time and kept falling asleep on it... heck my cousin and friend did as well while watching me play, and we are all long time FF fans.
Games are like movies, it should be great from opening credits to the closing credits... and maybe a little bit more after that even. My point is that a game shouldn't take more than five mins to get good and an hour to ge...
yea they do, but not their projections... which this is. And they still tend to claim more sales for xbox than MS's numbers 1-3 months after official info is available.
VGFake also seem to use NPDs numbers to "track" (aka guesstimate) world wide sales by extrapolating US trends and applying them to the trends of other regions... which doesn't work obviously, but they still try.
IMO, only year old data is decently accurate.
Doesn't matter what numbers are posted prior to the game companies quarterly reports. VG is only good at making publicly available charts of historical game industry sales data... and even then they have been proven to "adjust" the numbers from those of the game companies themselves.
So until we have the quarterly reports, which are just a few weeks away, I am taking all sales reports with a grain of salt... which means I'm likely to have high blood pressure...
