The funny thing about that gen though is both Sony and Nintendo made money. The GC, although looked upon as a failure by many, was really just a small success for Nintendo. This was attributed to the profits made on the hardware itself and Nintendo's first party games.
lol XD
But seriously, what is causing XBL's issues? PSN's getting slammed with thousands of people trying to download and play the Destiny beta.
@tbone567 "Why are you talking to yourself."
I understand they both have Naruto names, but how do you know he is talking to himself? Are you a third personality? :P
OT: Business wise, this makes a lot of sense. Especially because those who switched from 360, will now be able to play them. Plus those coming from PS3 that also didn't play them, will have the opportunity to do so. And of course, there will be those that want to play some titles ag...
@corvusmd "It seems more likely that it's not actual X1 fans that are upset"
All I can say is I've personally witnessed an Xb1 owner actually say (and I quote): "Bungie has betrayed us Halo fans that have supported them all these years and if it weren't for Microsoft, Bungie would be nothing." That was word for word.
I should test mine to see how long it lasts with the light dimmed. It's battery life has never been an issue for me cause I have two DS4s. So when one battery dies, I swap controllers and use the other while the one charges. I've been doing that even with the DS3s.
Blasphemy. They need to and will be added.
Heh. Is the person saying this a recovering heroin addict? How else would he know? XD
lol Awesome.
@Ezz2013
You would think the Xbox marketing team members having seniority at Xbox, would mean something to the company. Would it really be wise to replace a good chunk of them with Nokia's anyway? It's not like their track record is any better IMO.
From what I've read on N4G, it's not okay to label the Xbox One as a failure just because it has weaker hardware and is selling less than it's competitor.
But it's totally okay to label the Wii-U as a failure for the same reasons.
#DoubleStandard
Yo Dawg, why you gotta be that guy?
Devs sure love PS4. FTFY. :P
I'm not sure. Microsoft does have a habit of saying one thing and doing another. If they truly are committed to Xbox, then they are not going to do something to *purposely* hinder it's success. That said, it still doesn't mean they won't shoot themselves in the foot, like in times past. We'd have to wait and see how this thing actually plays out. I'm sure there are other factors we are not aware of.
And at a far enough distance, the same principle would apply to even comparing cross-gen games.
But that doesn't change the fact that a large number of people (myself included) can easily see the difference with a native resolution.
That said, this issue is getting real old.
While I'm not a fan of the Xbone, for the good of the industry I certainly hope they don't kill it prematurely. Cause if that happened, I believe it would urge the competitors to follow suit, so as not to let them get an early start on the next gen. And then that could result in chaos and a loss of consumer trust.
That's the thing. If we're going to ignore everything like sales, hardware performance, public perception etc. and only look at which one has "better" games coming out this year, than the answer is simply subjective.
In that case, for more games and accessories. :P
