While many don't care for Kinect, there's no denying that it was the main thing that set the systems apart. Now no longer "part of the system", it serves as an optional accessory to a less powerful game console.
Moral of the story: When you have a problem, throw money at it in hopes it will go away. XD
Yeah, I'm using it on all 3 and I'm loving it. Such great value.
One company has consistently taken risks on funding games that are usually well received, but often are not profitable.
One company has consistently taken risks on using all the dirty tricks in the book to increase their user-base, some of which has backfired.
I don't need to name names.
@JBSleek
Bungie's games were on Mac, PC and PS2 (ported) before Xbox.
What's wrong with this company? These people have families to feed and support. They work for you, you pay them. It's that simple. That's the responsibility you take on as an employer. If you have financial problems and won't be able to pay, you lay them off so they can receive assistance and look for other work. It's sickening that a company can allow people to continue putting in a hard days work, all under the false pretense that they will be paid.
@TheWackyMan
"Every single mainstream "professional" gaming review site does this, not just IGN."
Not true. A lot opt not to use a 1/10 scale, such as joystiq or gamesradar:

Not that I necessarily trust their reviews anyway, since there's a reason "professional" reviews are often referred to ...
The Dual Shock 4 is my favorite. I bought an extra one so I can leave one charging while the other is in use (just like I did with my DS3s). Well that, and for when friends come over. :D
On a normal scale, 1-10 means something. On an IGN scale, it's typically 7-10. I prefer the 0-100 scale myself, as I think it seems to detract from that.
Didn't we already have an article just on this?
I bought one last week. Been meaning to for a while. Looks like others have done the same.
My group stems back from childhood.
NES, Master System
Genesis/SegaCD/32x, SNES
PSX, Saturn, N64
Dreamcast, PS2, Xbox & GC
Xbox 360, Wii, PS3
Wii-U, PS4, PC.
GBA SP, DS, 3DS XL, PSP & PS Vita (bought last week)
Over the years, it really adds up. XD
My Wii-U and PS4 next gen combo is working great for me in addition to my gaming PC.
I will be revisiting the idea of buying Xbone in 2015. However, one thing I plan on waiting and seeing this time is how many x1 exclusives begin making their way over to PC. If Quantum Break is going to make it's way over like Alan Wake did, I'll probably pass on the console all together (which would be a first for me).
My preference for games that don't really use the touchsreen is to use the pro controller. However, I would love the WaveBird for Smash Bros 4.
If Nintendo did remake the WaveBird, I think it would be great if worked just like the pro controller, negating the need for a transmitter piece to be plugged into a GC to Wii-U adapter.
@Miles
An GTX 750 ti card that costs $150, which can practically be thrown into any modern pc of the last several years, does in fact play TF better than Xbone.

But that's not really the point of this article.
@mhunterjr "Actually, MC and Link's characters are developed in the exact same way..."
I wouldn't say they're equal comparisons. Link not being the same person in every Zelda game allows the character to develop much more independently, on a per game basis.
I agree. But I'm a bit surprised, because didn't they always require you to bring your games in to find the their trade in value? They would never answer that question over the phone.
It's amusing that he has that many disagrees, when his point is pretty solid. I cannot believe people still use VGC as a rough measuring stick, when their numbers have been off by more than 100k for a console in a single month. Being off by 100k is absolutely insane and shows their numbers have zero merit. Which is why (like you said), people on NeoGAF are able to guess much closer to the units sold, than whatever VGC spews for the month.
E3 May 1995: Steven Kent had a whole bunch of papers in his hands. He walks up to the podium, and just says "299", and walks off the stage to a thunderous applause.
That was awesome and that's the Sony I'm seeing nowadays.
I prefer to use Craigslist and Kijiji for buying, selling and trading used stuff. I always avoid GameStop (EBgames in Canada) whenever possible.
