It's too early in my opinion for cloud computing in videogames.
It's just a gimmick M$ threw out there to explain that even though X1 has way less power than PS4, it will do just as well and possibly 4 times better than the PS4 in their words. That's a pretty lie.
Which announced games will use cloud computing on X1?
What's the minimum broadband speed for this to have an effect and what happens if you don't have that speed?
...
I never understood the hype about this game, it sounded boring to me.
Anyway, you can only sell so much when the console doesn't even have 5 million users, look at Tearaway on Vita.
At some point, it's also on Nintendo, they made an habit to their users of feeding them always the same Mario, Metroid, Zelda and Pokemon games; they're just not used of trying or wanting new things anymore.
There's something else for sure.
They have two teams and I assume only one is working on the next Uncharted, I don't see another whole team working on a dlc.
Whether they're porting TLOU to the PS4 or are in the early stage of something else is the question.
@Realplaya This HD thing must have been cooking for years at Nintendo, if not they'd be pretty stupid to launch a HD console and then learn how to exploit it.
You can't argue that Nintendo are serving gamers the same stew over and over again, they just mix the spices they use to make it look fresh...
I don't agree with Mario, I could have done it with Paint and 25 minutes of my time...
Lego Marvel, Pikmin 3, Puppeter, Rayman Legends and many others could have taken that spot.
I still remember that montage that was all about the many times they repeated TV, Call of Duty and sports.
That reveal was baaaad.
I agree, but they need to upgrade the franchise, not just do a Bandicoot game for the sake of making one.
The Sly title they made on PS3 wasn't a full PS3 experience, it felt PS2ish and was really disappointing.
Whoever is making a Bandicoot game needs to invest time and money to make it an awesome return and more so attract people who don't even know who Crash is.
Pikmin is probably the only title I wish we could see on a Sony console...
M$ first gave Titanfall timed exclusive money, much like Mass Effect, then Respawn started buzzing about the PS4 version and M$ spit some more money to make Titanfall 1 exclusive to the X1.
With the selling pace of the PS4, M$ would have to spend crazy money to make the franchise exclusive, and even then it would be stupid by EA/Respawn to accept an offer.
Nice, new characters but they don't address the constant freezing issues...
It's too bad but they missed their chance.
They had a crappy specs console, Wii, that sold 100 million copies, so they had the cash flow and the fanbase to challenge Sony and M$, but they tried to cheap again on the specs and expected it to sell well again and we all know what happened.
The name is bad, the mandatory second screen is bad, the price was bad and still kinda is for what the console specs are.
They followed the playbook of fa...
True, but from really bad to meh.
Smash and maybe a little bit Kart I understand why they put known franchise characters in, but all those sports game are flat out milking.
It started when they put a skin on a Japanese game and named it Super Mario Bros 2, now they're just addicted to that stuff and when they think of a game they just put the Mario crew in it by instinct I guess.
Nintendo have been outsourcing for years.
Minish Cap, which was made by Capcom, is my favorite Link game.
But of course outsourcing means that they have less control over quality and the product itself, and this one seems soooo wrong.
New low...
Working name Hyrule Warriors, final name is probably Dynasty Warriors: Hyrule.
Nintendo and next-gen Tomb Raider port got the "is that it" treatment from the hosts and it was well deserved.
Even if the Nintendo "announcement" was leaked and it stole some of the surprise factor, this was a plain presentation, same old Nintendo showing boring Nintendo stuff. It sure must hard to stay awake in their cie meetings...
I don't consider Shadow of the Beast as indie, but out of that list, this is the game I'm the most excited about.
He's moving faster than his hairline!
I'm a PS3 owner and future PS4 buyer, and I honestly envy you M$ guys to have this 1st Titanfall title. I do think we'll have the sequels as well.
But Ryse seems generic, lame and boring.
Maybe I'll be proven wrong but the trailers I've seen are very uninspiring...
I was so jealous of you X1 guys for getting this as I am PS4 and now I feel for you guys. Make it popular, rage about the 6vs6 and Titanfall 2 which will probably be also featured on PS4 will have a 10+vs10+ that makes sense.
Still, this is a real downer.
