If the conversion to HD was a smooth one it was undoubtedly an easy business decision to put the pack on both Sony and Microsoft consoles - and if the money raised puts more into the coffers for further game development,...

The point where Final Fantasy 7 ads started appearing in comics brought forth shivers.
The moment I saw the intro demo on an official Playstation disc was jaw dropping. I must have watched it hundreds upon hundreds of times.

I think what Crystal Dynamics is trying to do is take Lara back to a point where she was thrown into the unknown, threw off the shackles of her lifestyle and money and learned pain, to survive and for that to refine and redefine her. The original is a flat out classic. Wonderfully thought out, I loevd the way it inconporated English historical landmarks so intelligently into the story. Furthermore, it was ace fun to play. Loved it.
The second one entertained me, but losing the weapon wheel and vehicular combat seemed strange choices. Plus, whilst the graphics were beautiful and the hues rather gorgeous .. America *again*?! Really?! :/
Likewise with the new game. I'm looking forward to...
Dear Lord this has made me excited.
One of my top 5 games ever, with a potential remake. I'm excited to see if they can conjour the same magic that the original exuded, how they can push it further with new polish and sparkle.
And announcing it 117 days early. Perfect.

I played the demo and adored it.
A definite pick-up for me when I finish Demon's Souls and to tide me over until Dark Souls consumes my life.
Likewise regarding games, or those months when money is a little tighter .. for the £3 or so's difference between the purely movie rental and the games as well - excellent.
The PS3 streaming service I adore. To have movies available for those moments when I can't sleep, or just fancy having a nosey and perhaps watch a film I might not normally have done .. quality.
An outstanding company.
A fabulous gesture.
Very impressed.
If folks already have the games, sell the originals and put the money towards something new you fancy.

Very much gaming, assumptive Ocelot [I go back to C64 times!], but not particularly with RPGs at such a time.
I was curious within the question as to what made an RPG, not realising it was the levelling system that slotted it into said category.
I'd presumed it was purely the story based stuff.

On a personal level, it seems as though the best games and performance is just starting to kick in with the current crop of consoles, so, more's the shame.
Is Dark Souls an RPG?
As much as I adore Demon's Souls - and am looking forward to the 'sequel' - I wouldn't consider it an RPG.
I'd say my most anticipated RPG's would be The Last Story and Xenoblade, which both look fabulous.
I think with the sequel being but a few months away, this would be a very smart way of getting the game into 'most every gamers hands and getting them hyped for the sequel.
Win win.
