*sigh* I really wish this was coming out in a month. But, if it makes it that much better, I can wait till January.
Of Modern Warfare 2 and Bad Company 2. What else?
There is only one word that can be used to describe Medal of Honor's campaign: Derivative. Length has nothing to do with it; Vanquish, on the other hand, is a breath of fresh air that isn't seen often enough in the industry.
I don't understand how you can compare a realistic modern day first person shooter to a futuristic fast-paced third person shooter. It just makes no sense. It takes me 4 hours to beat Donkey Kong Country 2, does that mean it deserves the s...
I was already anticipating this and now I'm even more so. Granted, I always thought I was a glutton for tough-as-nails 2D platformers but I could only finish 30/50 of N+'s brutal single-player levels (Finished all of the co-op ones though, once with 2 people and again with 4!) and never accomplished much of anything in Trials HD.
Here's hoping that while the difficulty will surely be ridiculously high, the unlockable characters and hilarious replays make it worth...
Or at least say Going Commando and Up Your Arsenal. Both were better than the original.
It's simple really, they wanted to push this game to shelves before Blizzard got Cataclysm out, ArenaNET got Guild Wars 2 out, and Bioware got Old Republic out.
From what I hear, TOR isn't going to be playable either so it looks like only Blizz and ArenaNET have a good hold on things. Unsurprising, really.
He clearly said why people bitch. Because Kingdom Hearts BBS isn't available through digital distribution, and there are no plans for it to be.
BBS is tied for best in the serie;, there is no reason to "upgrade" to a Go if you can't even play one of the console's best games. This would be akin to the Slim not being able to load Uncharted 2, and ND refused to make a patch to allow it. Why would you deprive yourself of an excellent game?
Oh without a doubt. I seriously doubt it takes Capcom a whole lot of money to make one either, so really it's just a question of A) Do they not have enough ideas for other cases at the time or B) Are they just too lazy to put more in?
But whatever. I'll still be a sheep and buy them, because they entertain me more than half the usual crap that comes out these days, heh.
And yeah, lasting appeal is definitely a plus. But it means different things to...
Agreed on FFVIII's intro. A lot of these are really good but, with the exception of Assault of the White Dragons and possibly the Crisis Core scene, they lack one key aspect: music. FFVIII's intro has some of the best music and CG work (In my opinion it is *the best* but I digress) in the series.
He said God of War 3 doesn't have lasting appeal. Nowhere did he mention that Uncharted 2 doesn't have it. Also, since when is a game solely judged on it's lasting appeal? I only played the Phoenix Wright series for 7 hours each, and will probably never play them again, but that doesn't mean that any one of them was a bad or even mediocre game.
This is only available via pre-order right?
It's a pity then. I want the harlequinn outfit and this, but I won my copy of brotherhood via contest and have no need to waste money on a pre-order.
Less people had 360s at the time. You have to realize that there is going to be a point where almost everyone who can afford and does want a 360 will have one. Thus declining sales.
Well if you want to get technical, Square-Enix didn't even make FFX, they were still Squaresoft then. Three of the first things published post-merger were FFTA, FFX-2, and FFXI.
Should've sent off a warning bell for the future, I suppose.
I'm not a Dragon Quest person so I can't comment on that, but it seems that only Nomura's team can produce great things (Birth By Sleep).
I will admit that I've liked some of Square's secondary division's works though... Taito's Infinity Gene and Eidos' Just Cause 2 + Guardian of Light were all great.
Except that you should have been playing GT5 since the start of the generation, not at the back half of it. This should have been out in 2008 at the latest, not late 2010 / early 2011.
Ridiculous.
Polish and graphics do NOT make a "genre-defining title." I have no doubt that GT5 will be excellent, but I seriously doubt it'll ever define the racing genre as a whole.
Dead Rising 2 or Enslaved for me, if I decide to bite on this.
I can understand not buying the game because of two other high-profile games that you would prefer playing, but what does the game being made by Gearbox have to do with your purchase? Borderlands was by far and away one of last year's best games, and I have yet to hear anyone dispute that. They know what they are doing.
Because clearly the pull of N4G fanboy's in terms of bubbles is what matters most in an opinion, right?
The PSP was a success marred by numerous mistakes. That is inarguable. It's just a pity that one of the biggest mistakes came at the end of it's lifespan (Go).
Apparently they strongly considered putting Phoenix and Franziska for Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. Pity they didn't put them in, because then I would have bought the game.
