No. Xbox Live had 100M. That includes free Xbox Live Silver.

Let’s be clear with our numbers because no clickbait article ever will. Xbox has 1/2 the marketshare of PlayStation. Also, PS+ is required for on-line games (except f2p games like Fortnite). This is not a referendum on which service is better.

But also let’s be clear about which service is cheaper and that answer is PS+ at all tiers. Microsoft doesn’t sell a discounted annual membership for Xbox Live Gold or Game Pass, but Sony does. Everyone who says the neutered little X...

100% agree with this. Halo 3 is the best game ever released. Best campaign ever (still true). Forge. Co-op. Many multiplier modes. Great vehicle combat in multiplayer. And you could see the population on each playlist. No bullshit like today!

Agree 100%. Back in the day, the PS3 was an affordable Blu-Ray player and I knew at least a few home theater enthusiasts who were proud to show off this glossy beast.

You really want Crossfire X on your list of open world shooters?

AAA budget games = AA games.

Most shooters were boring and forgettable. Remember the one with time travel? Remember the one that let you control terrain? Remember Fuze? Of course you don’t. Those games milked the genre to death. Even Halo ain’t the single player game it used to be.

If you adjust for inflation, the Switch Lite doesn’t cost any more than the original Gameboy. The upper limit of a handheld is very, very high.

Because the media wants Xbox v PlayStation to be a legit war. It’s also why they group Nintendo Switch into current gen sales, even through the Switch couldn’t match last gen hardware. It’s also why they don’t compare the Switch to phones for mobile gaming hardware. Not sure what the media will do with Steamdeck. They can’t handle that kind of comparison. Anyway, I tell people not to buy the Xbox Series S. Save your money and get the console you really want.

As someone who buys a game on release about once every 5 years, this is not a concern for me.

Is this from Microsoft PR?

This is just so pathetic. Hue was an bonus “free” game on PS+ years ago. Microsoft should end this farce.

On an annual basis PS+ is cheaper than Game Pass at all tiers, and I care more about cost than anything else.

PS+ is good. For about $40 a year, subscribers have got a lot a great games, deals, and cloud saves. This has generated a lot of goodwill in the PS+ name. And PS+ preceded all the other + services like Disney+, Apple TV+, and Paramount+. Consumers know that + is good. PS+ is a fantastically simple branding decision for Sony.

Yes

That’s because Series X is more next gen than Series S. If you don’t have $500 for next gen, buy the $400 PS5 digital. if you don’t have $400 for next gen, keep saving. Don’t settle for less.

That’s what Netflix said about their original content.

I don’t know if this is a bad game, a bad review, or part of the internet dogpiling on Square Enix or any game that isn’t Elden Ring. But I don’t care. It’s nice to see a 2/10. The industry hands out 8/10 to every average game and will give 6/10 to the most broken crap. (Looking at you, IGN).

This only tells us supply and not demand. We have anecdotal evidence that the Series S has less demand than the Series X. People can find the Series S in stock and Series has has seen a couple of temporary price drops in the U.S. (as low as $250). I don’t think the PS5 or Series X has ever made it to a store shelf in the U.S.
