Comparing Starfield’s procedural generation to No Man’s Sky is like comparing the 255x255 block Minecraft Pocket Edition to Minecraft for PC. It’s like baby’s first procedurally generated planet.
“This article feels like a gigantic damage control.”
This article was most likely written by Microsoft’s PR team. The problem with this kind of bullshit is that it puts a stink on everything.
“Driveclub was amazing at launch, people didn't like it and griped and complained…”
8/10. IGN is really going out on a limb with this one,
Not sure if the stock photo is for video games, denim, cotton, or IKEA.
Bigger than Halo? Outlets like Forbes were bullish on “Halo Infinite” when it launched. Now the game has been forgotten already. But seriously, though, Spider-Man sold over for 20 million on PS4. Zelda sold over 20 million on the Switch handheld. No Xbox exclusive and no Bethesda game on Xbox has sold that much on Xbox. Even during the Xbox 360 era when Xbox had about equal marketshare with Sony, Skyrim sold 10M on Xbox and Halo 3, with the best campaign ever made, sold 13M. Keep your expecta...
I was going to play Starfield via xCloud on my old Xbox One S. $15 for one month of Game Pass Ultimate should do it. But BG3 looks so good, I think it may be one of my rare day one purchases. Besides, Bethesda games always need a few patches.
Most profitable scam in video game history.
Series X is a bad investments. Save your money for the console you really want. PS5 digital is only $100 more. Just sayin’.
Gears of War has the perfect amount of nihilism for a Zach Snyder movie.
This follows Sony’s current strategy for selling gaming peripherals. They already have platform agnostic headsets and monitors.
This opens the floodgates for other publishers to drop features for Series S. And if third party publishers can get away with it, all those Microsoft studios can. Back when Microsoft announces Series S, I said it was a bad investment. I foresaw game releases that are canceled on Series S or neutered for Series S. Now you can see it for yourself.
8/10 is IGN’s default score, doesn’t tell me anything about this game’s quality. What are real review websites saying?
I’m not surprised that forgot about Halo Infinite as the exclusive that kicked off this gen’s Xbox exclusive. This goes to show how far down this franchise has fallen. Halo on OG Xbox and Xbox 360 was a cultural phenomenon. 16 years later and Halo 3 still has the best campaign of any shooter ever made. After a lackluster Halo 4 and awful Halo 5 (the only Halo for the disastrous Xbox One era), I see why folks wouldn’t bother booting Halo Infinite even though it seemed to review well and even t...
Poor Halo.
For $400, you can buy a second PS5. Just sayin’.
This is just an add for Smansung monitors. HDR has been around in gaming since at least as early as the PS4 (although HDR on PS4 wasn’t implemented until a later software update.) The problem is that games do a bad job of implementing HDR. Calling it “HDR+ Gaming” won’t change that.
3:2 isn’t great for Xbox but it’s better than the rest of the world. The US is basically the last line of defense for Xbox. If they lose big in the US again, Microsoft might as well shut down the hardware and go full software. It’s about time Microsoft held a fire sale on Xbox Series X consoles, but they are pushing the underpowered Series S as the cheaper, slim model.
The US has NPD data monthly. The under track is shipped versus sold and Sony direct versus retail
I remember getting all the way to the damsel, running to her stopping, and watching her kick me to death. Then doing it again and not stopping to finish the game.
