Other Worlds is like a 6/10 game. Seriously. Overrated.
How dare they give a bad review to a game you didn’t play.
“Starfield is thematically so similar to Mass Effect and yet so inferior to it that I just wanted to go play those games again”
Actually that’s not a bad idea.
I can’t believe IGN went below 8/10. I know IGN had an article about their reputation as an 8/10 review machine, but still, a mediocre, not bad, game should be a 5 and scores for should go up from there.
60 hours is totally doable with 1 month of Game Pass. Just sayin’.
I love Paste Magazine. They don’t juice scores to appease corporate masters or fans.
I used the PlayStation app on my phone. Go to the store, PS+, and find the add to subscription link. Seems scary becasue I don’t want a second concurrent subscription it it won’t do that. You’ll get a new end date to your current subscription. You can do the same on your PS5 or the web.
I get it. More and more I think there was something right about owning a disc you could keep, sell, or trade. But more and more games are digital only. Eventually they will be subscription only.
If you bought 4 years of PS+, your price won’t go into effect until 4 years from now, you can even “cancel” auto-pay now and keep your 4 years of subscription.
No, it’s actually time to buy up as many years of PS+ as you think you’ll want before the price hike goes into effect. (I did that today.) Later, when you need to renew your subscription, then you should consider whether the price hike is worth it.
Julius Ceaser is free. The other leaders are only “free” if you bought the Anthology edition.
What better way to save money than spend $1500 on a gaming PC.
For comparison, a couple years ago I bought a bunch of PS+ years on sale for $30 each. This is almost triple that cost. I can see how this is make or break for a lot of folks. At least f2p games like Fortnite and Fall Guys don’t require PS+ Essential. I wonder if this will push Microsoft to raise the price of Game Pass starter edition to $10/month like they planned to do with Xbox Live Gold a few years ago. Giant corporations are not your friend.
Not really. Adjusted for inflation, gaming is cheaper than ever. If I take the family out to a movie, it costs $60. Even lunch at Subway costs $8-10. A game like Halo: CE used to cost 20 Subway sandwiches but now a game like Halo Infinite only costs 6 Subway sandwiches.
These PS+ games are a mixed bag. Saints Row is a the kind of AAA game people ask for but clearly it’s here because it was commercial failure and the publisher wants more players to purchase DLC. I’d rather have a AA or indie games that I am excited to play.
Oof. Unfortunately the benchmark is set by Microsoft and Game Pass Ultimate still costs a lot more than PS+ Premium. $80/year is asking a lot to be able to play on-line. All on-line gaming should be free on both consoles. My current plan runs out in 2025 [Edit, 2026] so that’s when I’ll get hit.
There is a segment of gamers who just want something to do. (I don’t judge considering the hours I’ve spent in games like Destiny and No Man’s Sky, much less the hours of my youth wasted on catching and leveling up Pokémon.) But for me, I know I’ll grow tired of the loading screens, looking though trash cans for coins, and going from vendor to vendor to sell my inventory. What I want to know is how quickly I can finish the main story after I get sick of the game.
Bad if true. Fallout 4 was a disappointment. 6/10 for me.
This is a nice surprise. I got bored with 3D games and started playing Civ 6 on my PS5 again. Then last night I noticed a certain Caesar in my leader list. Lincoln’s leader ability is a fun commentary on pre-civil war america: more loyalty for industrial zones and less loyalty for plantations.
Oh yeah, we’re all thinking, “Why can’t more games be about the racists?” I felt the same way watching Indiana Jones. Why can’t we ever see the Nazis win? Total garbage. /s
