ah fudzilla, you can just feel the love they have for Nvidia on that site can't you. I have never seen a site so "pro ATI" as fudzilla, someone really needs to clue them in that ATI and Nvidia are as bad as each other.

Well the service is here and it is every bit a rip off as people expected it to be. Microsoft have added 12 games to the demand service :-

Fallout 3 = £34.99
Resident Evil 5 = £29.99
Dirt 2 = £34.99
Street Fighter IV = £24.99
Battlestations Pacific = £24.99
Kayne & Lynch = 1600 mspoints (don't know why you have to have points for this one)
Viva Pinata = £7.49
Fuel = £34.99
Shadowrun = £7....

Well let it never be said that Microsoft rests on it's laurels. They made PC gamers literally roll around on the floor with laughter when they made Halo 2 a Dx10 Vista only title (and it didn't even have a single bit of Dx10 code in it). Now we have Microsoft releasing a games on demand service only nearly SEVEN YEARS after steam started doing the exact same thing.

You really have to admire at how MS are right in there at the cutting edge don't you /sarcasm. This is what the M...

Erm how has MS "ported" games to the PC ? Last time I looked they are doing their best to keep games OFF the PC. Let's see Alan Wake oh yeah they got Remedy to cancel the PC version....... Halo 3 hm hope no sign of it on the PC etc etc etc.

MS has absolutely no interest in seriously supporting the PC. They have even stated they keep games OFF the PC to give their console a leg up (if you want proof I will hunt the link down).

Since they released their ...

Yeah it's a big hit on Xbox live because (drum roll please) ...... there is NO OTHER CHOICE. The "On demand" service for GFWL is facing competition from at least 3 or 4 other services. The main service that PC gamers use for downloading games (yes we have been doing it for years before they did it on Xbox Live) is of course steam. At this moment in time GFWL can't even shake a tiny lil stick at Steam.

This "on demand" service is going to fail badly it won't...

They have this on XBL the console service but now they are bringing it to the PC market with several titles no PC gamer actually gives a toss about. It's just another half hearted "hey guys we are still behind the PC" PR stunt from MS. It will die from lack of support, I would hazard a guess that the 5 titles they announced are all there ever will be on this "on demand" service.

MS just don't get it, you can't just copy and paste your console service over ...

The only news that would get PC gamers jumping for joy with regards to GFWL is if MS said "hey we will publicly film us skinning the person that thought this crappy service up".

Seriously MS give it up, no decent PC gamer cares about GFWL. I myself will never touch a game with the GFWL branding again after the abomination that is GTA 4. No I don't mean the bad port I mean the "unlimited activations" that proved to be very limited indeed.

Hopeful...

Whilst Stevie Wonders intentions are very noble I have to say personally "WTF". As far as I am aware Stevie is completely blind and I am at a loss as to how any of the mainstream games we play today can cater for some one with such a profound disability.

I think he is being slightly unfair about the games industry. They have done a "decent" effort to cater for hard of hearing users (by including subtitles in nearly all games). There may be an argument for g...

Just when you think Michael Patcher couldn't get any more moronic he goes and says a completely stupid thing like this. This has to rank up there with statements like "you need a $4,000 PC to run our game" from lucasarts.

People often say "The PC is in trouble", well if we have morons believing this kind of complete and utter rubbish then hell yeah the PC is in a crap load of trouble.

I have no doubt in the next few days we will get "clarifi...

How about you stop tarring people with your own brush eh ? I did read the article and I don't believe what they said about the service for one second. You believe everything you read do you ? In that case I have some magic beans would you like to buy them ?.

It states on the GTA 4 DVD case that it has UNLIMITED activations, the reality couldn't be further from the truth. You have 10 activations on GFWL and that is it. After you install GTA 4 10 times (even if you revoke th...

I wouldn't touch this service even if Microsoft offered a free hooker with each purchase. The GFWL service is totally screwing PC gaming up and is riddled with DRM. The premier title on GFWL is of course GTA 4 a bug ridden sorry excuse for a port. However it gets worse even with Rockstar stating it has "unlimited" activations in reality you can only install it 10 times before you encounter the GFWL DRM and it kills your CD key.

If they use that kind of horrid DRM i...

You got to love these predictions haven't you. In my experience it is difficult enough to get people to buy a bog standard HD TV. Hell most people especially in the UK are still using analogue despite the fact many areas are having their analogue signal turned off.

But no lets all ignore that and just make a ludicrous prediction that "somehow" 40 million gamers will have 3D capability in just 4 years time (technically 5 but there is just over a month left of this year...

So basically Intel could talk the talk they just couldn't "walk the walk". This won't come as a surprise to anyone in the PC world, Intel has always had a dubious reputation when it comes to GPU's,

I was initially looking forward to Larrabee till it was rumoured they were seeking a deal with some console manufacturer (sell outs). Since it is looking likely that Larrabee has indeed been put out of it's misery the only question remains is "what happens to project o...

Yeah but you can have more than one steam account. So you have your main steam account with all your games on and then you can set up a second steam account to just buy and play MW2. Then if the account you bought MW2 gets banned you still have your other account with all your other games safe.

As I said it would be pretty moronic of someone to play and cheat with MW2 using their main steam account with all their games on there. I imagine there will be a couple of idiots that...

Well you would have to be pretty moronic to use your actual steam account with all your games on if you intended on cheating in the game. So I would say the vast majority that get banned will be hackers that set up that account for the express purpose of just cheating on MW2.

I don't think it is a major job setting up a new steam account it isn't like they can lock your PC out of creating another steam account (like MS can do with xbox's on their XBL). As for re-purchasing the ...

"There are supposed to be top men on the team that are trying to track down every cheaters"

Roughly translated "the kid from the local school doing his work experience at IW is doing the tracking". No doubt they will ban a crap load of innocent people but that will be acceptable to most in the name of fighting cheating.

To be honest it is hard to see how they will actually "ban" people. This isn't xbox live we are talking about here it...

To be honest after the appalling Deus Ex - Invisible War they should do themselves a favour and just cancel the PC version. There is no way on this planet Deus Ex 3 is going to sell on the PC not after the sorry excuse for a game the last one was.

It is such a shame really, I loved Deus Ex 1 it was an absolutely mind blowing game and puts most modern games to shame in terms of game play. Ho well another PC franchise ruined yet again, such is life.

Whatever Lucasarts make they can keep it off the PC we don't need their "dubious" quality on the format anymore. I used to be a huge fan of Lucasarts work but now what they produce is just pitiful. Until that changes I would be a sap and buy their rubbish.
