I found the format to be a hit and a miss. While it was different, the intermission at the beginning was a huge wall in in the flow of the presentation. I loved the gameplay, but in terms of an e3 presentation, they've done better.
However by better I mean in terms of shock and awe. In regards to giving us tangible information, they did great (gameplay instead of just a 1 minute teaser). We always get frustrated when we're 2-3 years out from the game actually releas...
This looks amazing,
Fairly short..
Lovingggggg it.
I rolled my eyes when that robotic voice kept feeding in dialogue to the player. Anthem might be fantastic but Bioware really isn't winning me over so far. I'll let Vanilla players give the verdict on this one, I'm long since past having faith in these types of games delivering.
Lol @ the Walmart call out. "Best known for their low prices and, the ability to keep a secret."
Lol, that silly serious commentary gets me every time. What might work for in game dialogue, seems insanely hilarious when it's depicting gamer chat. That said, I understand the need to approach it in this method.
I'll be picking this up as I enjoyed the first one, though I'm very on guard because by the time the Division was shaped into a proper game, I had long since given up.
I'm happy I'll finally get to experience this gem.
While this is huge news for Xbox gamers, it comes as a bit of a bad taste for those who enjoyed Ninja Theory games on Sony platforms (Unless I'm missing something, but owning a studio removes said games from being on other platforms). I'm mostly confused on Ninja Theory's decision, as they really harped about independent freedom and how they strived to create games on a smaller budget.
In terms of how trailers go, I enjoyed this. However this provided zero gameplay and in terms of "cyberpunk" I didn't really get that aesthetic from what was shown (a little at times).
Looking forward to gameplay.
This is a beautiful form of evolution.
Instantly smiled when the gameplay kicked in. I love the character design and dig the narrative shown thus far. This'll be a must have.
A release date, much appreciated.
This saddens me. I didn't expect Ninja Theory to sell itself out like that, especially after the success of Senua's Sacrifice.
I love what I'm seeing.
Nice! I've got a good feeling about this one.
Amped for this one. But I'm drowning in games so it'll have to wait a little.
The drug of imagination baby!
The showcase was different. If you went in with high expectations on a bunch of new reveals, that's your own fault (considering they literally told us what to expect). Now, while the gameplay of the four main games was fantastic, I did find the show's early intermission to be irritably awkward and time consuming.
In terms of the little presentation surprises, Nioh 2 made me happy. Control looks great.
