Not impressed but neither am I surprised. It's business. A lot of companies in different industries do this, in fact it happens everywhere, everyday.
I know, doesn't mean it should happen. I know for example that in the clothing industry it's essentially what every deal is, a lie.
Probably not enough space on the disk. They'd have to make another game for it. Wait, this isn't FF7 lol my bad.
SIGH
All I can say for now. I'll make my judgement when everything comes to light. But if it's something I don't morally agree with (triple dipping / poor reasons) then nope, got other games to play and support.
Destiny is still a thing?
This will be an amazing game to play.
@thekhurg
I wouldn't label the tears as self entitlement, but rather anger/annoyance from the possibility of a story being broken into pieces. Once the necessary information is out then stronger opinions can be formed.
Personally, I think the rational that it's okay for it to be divided up is weak. If they plan to do something they ought to do it right, for the gamer, not for them. I know, insane.
The people who defend this are no better than the ones who are putting this in motion (if it is indeed the case of what's going to transpire, I'll believe it when i see it.)
Oh no worries, but what I mean is that I generally dislike episodic games. I stay away from them, something about the formula just doesn't appeal to me. It can even be FF7 and I'd shake my head.
*Thumbs up* I don't judge a game until it's out, I just make statements on how I am as a consumer.
There's a difference between a trilogy and a multi-part series. A trilogy is a game with a beginning, middle and an end for each instalment, with an enticement to continue onto the next game, generally through the story.
A multi-part / episodic game is similar, except the beginning, middle and end isn't in each instalment but rather is formed from all the episodes combined. It's a lot like a television episode, it's great, but you don't get everything in o...
I can see your point, but I think how they are handling this isn't as poorly approached as other studios. They've let us know (both to give us a heads up and to market), and by now many people who were into the content have picked up the season pass prior to this.
Those who were on the fence might feel the need to rush out and buy the season pass now in fear of the $10 increase, but that's marketing. Moreover, it's not that bad...and I say this because the ba...
Those were good times.
I'm fine with the gameplay and the graphics. But if the game is episodic.
I'm not giving it the time of day.
"Hey man let's play some Driveclub. I hear the sky is unreal."
"True, what about the driving though?"
"...Ya it's not bad, but you gotta see the sky...you can look at it for hours man."
It doesn't take much to understand that it's not bc. You pay to play (own) the version they offer, and they use the polish + trophy support as the extra push. I'll admit when I heard there's trophies for Dark Cloud, I bought the game in an instant.
Because I love Dark Cloud, and I love trophies.
As for the other offerings, it'll be a hard sell if they think they will make a lot of money off from it. You'll have the nostalgia sell a goo...
Stop using our oxygen.
Well dreams die fast eh.
If they actually decide to break the story into an episodic format or whatever they have planned, they've officially taken the name and tarnished it.
JUST MAKE A GAME WHERE ITS IN ONE PACKAGE.
Stop making me hate you. I'm so tired of hating stupid decisions for the sake of greed. Does my respect and adoration towards you not matter? It should, because my money comes with it.
I wish all I had to do was state the obvious, and then have articles written upon how wise I am.
Latest issue, when the sun isn't up, it's dark.
Mm that sort of marketing has always disgusted me. I'm not going to automatically be okay with it now that Sony is doing it.
If they honestly think a few months is going to make me praise them, they are insulting my intelligence.
so it's selling in general, bravo.
That's nice of them.
