Lol I look forward to the day when a dev comes out and says, "Yeah... That's pretty much the game right now, but we're going to 'improve' on some things. Make sure you preorder + pick up the season pass."
That'll go over well.
You have a point. I personally am fine with there being an infinite amount of games portraying Link, if the games are good. But, I wouldn't have any quarrels if they decided to have one of their upcoming titles focus on the perspective of Zelda. Maybe we use both characters? Not every story has to be a certain formula. However, the formula is why we love it so much.
I got bored fairly fast. Need to give it another shot. The settlement creation disappointed me and then I just sort of jumped to another game. *Shrug*
There's nothing wrong with asking. Some of the most successful startups require a lending hand. It's about give and take. They ask for money to deliver something they believe is unique, and if we agree, we give them money (and often times, the money covers the game that comes out).
Competition is good. There's multiple games being made right now that would never see the light of day because the market for those ideas might not be as large, and large publishers wan...
The problem is with both. Activision/Bungie who pulled off a disgusting practice, and everyone who found out and then kept supporting it. (This isn't pointing fingers at those who enjoy the game, but at those who deny its faults and say everything is perfect).
Destiny 2, or whatever they call it, won't be anything special. It'll be addicting to the market that its focused on.
"If you’re in a match against a team of trash talkers that single you out because you have a microphone, and they decide to focus on killing you exclusively just so they can talk smack, then leave. That’s not rage-quitting, that’s getting out of a situation that would cause you to lose self-control had you stayed. You don’t owe it to the lobby to stay in a game that troubles your mind and causes resentment or rage. It’s not throwing a tantrum, it’s simply leaving the company of fools. It...
Oh Dragon Quest 7, and 8? Looks like I'll be picking those up.
Sigh, and I hope the game isn't made specifically to entice them. That just means another Destiny.
I'm sure they will take your issue into consideration. Spelling mistakes and all.
There's a little innovation here and there. The formula works so they stick with it. It's a game for the fans, basically. You can't say that there's "zero innovation."
The gameplay is simple but there's some depth to it.

"We're here to shoot some stuff, with some guns, and be heroes, and oh, you were dead, from something, I don't know, no one knows, we fired the writer who knew."
K, $10,000 please.
At an affordable price*
It doesn't need a reboot. It needs one thing.
Itself.
I don't think a series that stands on its own with each instalment, yet also has subtle connections, needs a 'reboot.' This isn't a series where you need to know what happened in the other games to be able to enjoy the one you are playing. Sure, having an actual knowledge of the timeline now makes things more, say, exotic, but before I knew what connected to what, I let my imagination f...
Shame really, it being an Ubisoft product, I refused to buy the game right away. Though I have interest in it, it's things like that + a high cost, that make me shake my head no.
I'll pick up the game the day it isn't suffering issues + costs half the price.
So 4 rules to live by then. Good to know. God help us if we get another Destiny.
I actually got annoyed by reading this opinion piece.
I'll pick up a copy when the price goes down a bit. Tad pricy right now.
Yay it reached the console goal. Happy gamer I am.
We here at Ubisoft pride ourselves in getting things done properly, the second time around.
lmao
