300USD seems way overpriced to me.
ID never pay that much for 4 years old GPU.
For 300USD i could be playings games in real HD.
I would think the ps3 would be a reasonalble buy at USD 59, considering how old it is and the gaming experience is so inferior, while the games remain overpriced.. imo low definition games shouldnt cost more then 29usd specially when hi definition versions can be had for 49usd.

well tbh.. it depends on the game you are playing.
GTA 4 was very badly optimised. I had a core2 running at 2.4ghz (gpu you was 4870 x2) 2gb of ram and i was struggling to get 30 fps at max 1900*1200.. almost everything maxed out.
i upgraded to a I7 920 OC'd 3.5 ghz 6gb ram 4870 x2, and i was able to play the game near 60fps same settings.
so i would say it depends on the game
on my older rig i was barely getting 50fps on farcry 2 19...

i dunno about you but in real life i have taken shooting courses.. and i dont feel handicaped in real life while taking an aim.
i could easily shoot moving targets(which is something control pad just fails at)
A control pad for aiming just doesnt feel right. IMO mouse is just more like real.

breakings news controllers are supported, even ps3 controller.
anyways.. once you start using M/KB for fps, rts there is no way you are gonna go back to the controller.

my older rig is 2 years has never been upgraded once it was built.. and i can tell ya it will outperform 360 or the ps3 and will keep doing so till the end of this generation.
fact is pcs dont need upgrades the way they used to (back in the 90's 3d was developing too quickly back then cause it was young). anyways in current time pc is cheaper then consoles and provides a better gaming experience.
looks like somebodies stuck with fixed hardware.
Also has to pay high prices for inferior games lol.

Well i dont know about you kraze but usually i purchase anywhere between 2-3 games a month on my pc. If i were to buy these on console that would be usd20-30 difference a month. that about 300usd for the year. also consider the USA is not the entire world here in the middle east console games cost 75usd while pc games cost 35-49usd. Consider 3-4 years thats enough money for many good pc upgrades.

you pay a lot extra for the console games(this alone makes up a big difference)

the ps3 was outclassed before it was even released.
when ps3 was shipped the pc already had the G88xx series of cards which far out class any console gpu. So really it doesnt even take few years.
Consoles are outdated even at launch.
i dont see why ppl like to pay 10USD extra for console games + additional charges for going online.

puts any console to shame lol
my gaming doesnt end anywhere.. this beast can be hooked up to an hdtv
or if you are traveling be it the train or the plane this thing plays everything @ 1200p

games will always be made on pcs. who could ever make a game on a console lol.
Pc is the best online platform currently and always has been.
Forget games made for pcs, but even games made for consoles run and play better on the pc.
As the digital distibution takes over (and it is) pcs dont even need retail much which means its easier for game developers to get the games to the end user.
