Owning DA:O on the PC, I was excited to buy the ultimate edition for the ps3 to play through DA:A and all the other DLC on a console... My god, the graphics were very disappointing.
While I love DA, and still play it on my ps3, it was a poorly done port IMO. I have no idea what it looks like on the 360 because I never purchased it for that system, but I imagine it's comparable to the ps3 version.
As it stands, the PC is the clear winner for DA 1 and ...
@Parapraxis, agreed, however Microsoft certainly does not = Bill Gates. I don't think he would even agree with a lot of the practices going on in the Gaming division of Microsoft (the massive amount of console failures is/was absurd. I went through 1 first gen, then the wave before the elite was announced. Both RROD before the free fix was available. Then I got an Elite, and it started shooting disks out of the tray across the room sporadically - I will admit, that was entertaining at...
@Velocitygamer, agreed. I bet only a level or two will be desert based heavily, just like UC2. Then it serves as a backdrop.
Ugh. I need to stop reading/watching more about Uncharted 3, it's just painful knowing I gotta wait ~a year for another go around at their fantastic single player.
The trailer immediately made me replay UC2 and I forgot how much fun the online actually can be when you get paired with an english speaking team w/ headsets - or friends. Glad to see I can still pull 2:1 ratios and the community hasn't gotten ridiculously good :)
Good question... what could 360 owners who haven't played ME1 possibly do that PS3 owners, who are given the comic instead, do?
Buy ME1 perhaps?
bubble for you
I kinda liked the article, but that's just not the same batman. He's evolved past the point where people look at a bat suit and go "lol, why?". Gamers probably also take the new movie cannon as background (the reason for that suit - it strikes fear into people and acts as a disguise, which of course all super heroes need).
I own ME1 and ME2 on both the PC and 360. Never purchased the DLC, so I'll be buying this title for a peak at the new ME3 engine and for the fantastic DLC and new comic at the start to make huge changes to my ME2 saves without having to replay ME1 (though I miss the epicness of Sovereign!!)
And you know this how? I fully expect the ps3 version to look dramatically different than the 360 version now. Comparing it to the PC is a different beast all together, an amazing PC will beat out consoles graphically because you can easily upgrade as new tech comes out, whereas you cannot upgrade a ps3/360's graphic card, ram, overclock, add cooling, or fuck with bios and background applications.
they don't fuck it up porting it over :) With bioware, I doubt they will. I've never felt ripped off by their products, only by their DLC from time to time. Never feels rushed, always nicely polished.
I'm sure the engine will be much more refined by the time ME3 hits shelves - this is more of a preview of it I assume. The graphical update is welcome - I did get a bit of "chug" on my 360, none on my PC, so I'm interested to see how well it will preform on the ps3.
Huge bioware fan, I'll buy any game they make that is worthwhile on each platform if they offer different content (my ME1-2 on 360 were barebones, PC was fully DLC equiped, ps3 comes with th...
I love both games, though I must say I think Halo: Reach has the most polished futuristic FPS action to be found on any console.
Killzone was a lot of fun, I hope Killzone 3 has a better leveling system.
That said, both games are fantastic, missing out on either is a loss for you!
Killzone's online has always been worse than Halo's. In fact, I love Halo's ability to play split screen online - it's a feature all online shooters should have.
Single story, I would say Killzone takes the lead there. Killzone 2 was a blast to play through, expect the last boss, which was insanely frustrating. Reach's single player was very boring, but playing it co-op with your friends in the same room is *great*. But again, I would consider the co-op...
I find this rather agreeable, lol.
I never understood the appeal of sex video games unless you find a partner that enjoys using it as a form of foreplay... or unless you're 13... or from Japan.
Expected this due to the legal jailbreaking precedents with the DS and Iphone but it's still obviously made for piracy.
shipped to retailers or sold? Lol...
jk, don't care at all :)
Agreement. Skyrim was a surprising trailer, ME3's cover was blown the day before due to the EA store.
Still an early build, kinda obvious as you can see the rag doll isn't quiet up to par yet. I'm sure it's still a very early build and it already looks amazing - I can't wait to see the new set pieces and how the graphics improve months down the road (minorly).
Hand to hand looked a bit sloppy, but then again, I found that to be one of the most frustrating aspects of UC2 unless you got the sneak attack.
Gameplay looks fantastic, this is going ...
Skyrim's release date. Betting that will change.
I must not have been seeing what you all did... over half the video seemed to be some chick in a strip club. The opening was cool though, and the actor playing Duke looked pretty spot on.
