The software doesn't suck, but for me the screens blow.
The Vita screen wipes the floor with this device. I'm big into cutting edge hardware so the Vita is my choice. With that said though, Nintendo wipes the floor with the Vita in terms of software as it should for being out a year longer.

Oh I agree with you the PS3 is not the problem, BUT because of its limited memory architecture many 3rd party games have suffered because of it.
More memory would ease problems related to poor development to some extent.
I'm just irritated a bit lately over some PS3 games that are released broken or crippled in some way (Skyrim specifically, ME3 more recently). I love my PS3 but the recent games I'm most interested in have had major issues.
Skyrim was flat out broken until the recent patch which came many months later.
ME3 is not crippled, but it is lacking compared to the 360 version (I have both versions). The PS3 version dips framerate all over the place for no rea...

I'm so sick of broken product making it into consumers hands. The collection was delayed several times so why was this stuff not fixed.
I'm ready for new consoles that have decent architecture (i.e MORE MEMORY) so games are more consistent in quality upon release.

Downloading from PSN is an exercise in patience (7pm - 11pm mainly) - Xbox Live is not bad at all. Sony needs to add more servers or quit throttling my downloads!!!

True, but 360 DID have about a 10 million lead originally because it launched a year earlier so not bad really for Sony considering they did everything possible to shoot themselves in the foot out of the gate.

Halo 4 being the best of your list. Arcade titles may be good, but they usually only provide 3-4 hours of gameplay and I hardley consider them MUST OWN as exclusive full game releases are.
Sony did so many things right with the Vita (sans memory cards) and it gives me hope that the PS4 will be a home run from a gamer perspective (easy development, cross game chat, etc).
The vita OS is fantastic in my eyes - er hands :)

I go one step further though. I will buy the collector's edition and also the regular or digital edition to actually play. My hope is some day the value on the collector's will go way up.
Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose. If nothing else I amass a great collection of games.

I agree. This game and Flower would be great additions to the Vita!
I have zero issues with the controls and I NEVER understood the recent backlash against Uncharted and it controls - never had or have a problem with it.
The PC may be "generations ahead", but I can't play Uncharted, God of War, Halo 3, 4, Reach or Heavy Rain on any PC and that is what matters to me period!
Sure the PC may have some exclusives, but consoles have the ones I actually care about.
This translates to 20 FPS and screen tearing for console versions :)
