I think it could be a great independent game. Like pick your powers (earth, fire, ice, electricity, love..ok not love, lol) and your moves.

I see no point in arguing over what caused it when it doesn't effect me at all. I also don't understand why people are arguing about it at all. The reason doesn't matter, in the end it's still delayed.

So many people are going to buy this regardless of what it is just because of the way it's hyped and then marketed. I never understood the reason behind buying another console that is essentially the same. That's why I never got a PS2 slim, and won't buy any 'updated' console (which completely goes against the point of consoles, btw) unless I accidentally drop my current one down a flight of stairs.
A game like that could be great for Sony's motion controller. The Flashlight is such a key part of those games, and the PS3mote would be awesome in that function (going by the E3 demo).

I only played DOA2 but I fudgin loved the counter system. It seemed pretty easy compared to any other fighter I'd played.
That was the best part about that game. I was basically a counter-fighter, parrying the enemies moves and landing quick hits. Every fighter since that hasn't been as fun for me (I don't play many though).
DOA2 was basically the only 3d fighter I have ever liked.

The only way a Halo movie would work is if it wasn't about MasterChief. Sure MC is a bad ass, but from what I've seen of Halo, he isn't a very deep character (I haven't played 3 though). With him in the lead role they'd either have to change the story and his character, or make it a movie all about killing aliens with no character development or depth.
They should probably just focus on someone else and have MC make an appearance somewhere in the movie, or make him a secondary ch...

Most over-rated game I've seen so far. Sure it looks good, but it has absolutely no depth, a totally stupid story, and not one character you wouldn't shoot in the face just because your gun was loaded.

Oh, I understand that perfectly, but I don't think Epic would really need that much convincing. Gears sells like hotcakes on the 360, so if MS were to throw additional money their way I could see them considering keeping it exclusive. They would avoid dev times and costs, and still have phenomenal sales.
If anything they might go 360 first and then PS3 later. That would probably make the most sense. If MS does pay for timed exclusivity, Epic could make a killing off of the next G...

Those aren't bluray movies if they're .AVI files as you stated in a different comment. And I'm sure they've lost some quality even if you get the real bluray files. If you have surround sound and a massive monitor for your computer than it might be worth it.
And don't say you play it on your PS3, because the PS3 can't play the digital version of the bluray file format.
Actually, I think Mass Effect has a better chance of going to the PS3 than Gears. I'm sure MS will do whatever it takes to keep Gears an exclusive. It sells consoles. Epic just has to stick out their hat and they'd be buried in dump truck's full of money.
