Clades Candor - The Destruction Luster (Colossus 14)

I think those things could all be done on the PS3. Modding might be difficult without a PC version as well, but I don't think it'd be impossible.

I really want a game to come out with a built in map editor that is actually implemented well. Far Cry 2 had it, but they screwed the multiplayer (and single player) up too bad.

We need some LBP FPS' to kill off this retarded DLC trend. Imagine if Modern Warfare/Killzone/Halo/whatever had custom map making with voting and...

But at least the Leviathan was climactic.

The biggest problems I have with boss fights is when they are essentially meaningless. I mean Raam came out of nowhere, and so did the General in KZ2. I enjoyed playing both those games, but why was it even necessary to but 'boss' fights in. Those characters have almost nothing to do with the story at all. They're just there to fill the boss requirement. Also, anything with infinite waves of enemies immediately tops my sh!t list.

mrv321 a Nazi supporter?

CONFIRMED

lol

Yeah, seriously. That and the Nazi's that spawn out of nowhere. I mean the infinite waves of nazi's was bad enough, but then I keep getting killed by magical invisible nazi's that only appear and shoot me when I turn around.

I did beat every level on veteran, but man did it make me hate that game.

No, they're wrong.

All it takes is rubbing your socks on the rug too much and then touching a light switch. You could literally explode.

One second your friend is taking his shoes off in your apartment, and the next he's all over your walls. Also, the bastard made you lose electricity, and didn't stick around to clean up the mess he made (well technically he did stick around...you know what I mean).

On the plus side the unemployment rate has dropped and ...

Sure...

Everyone's walking around, enjoying their wireless electricity, thinking nothing could go wrong...and then it starts raining.

So many people would die we could start burning bodies for energy.

It's a corporate conspiracy! Also, I'm 100% sure that ghosts are involved somehow.

Really eyetoy and Natal face the same problems, they both need good games. There is only 1 game with the eyetoy/PS3eye that remotley interests me, and that isn't enough. So far Natal hasn't proven itself to be any different.

I hear all of this hype about the tech, but none of it matters until they show a game that actually utilizes it beyond slapping things. I honestly can't see hardcore applications without some sort of controller. People suggest things like fighting games, but ...

Why would you pay anyway? It wouldn't matter if Sega released these at the same exact moment as the PSP was hacked, people would still skip paying.

Are you honestly saying you would have paid for all of these games, given the choice?

The web browser has a lot of cool possibilities though. For example, I was able to download UT3 mods to my PS3 directly. It saved a lot of hassle and it was kind of cool. MGO also did their rewards system through the browser. The konami ID thing was kind of a fiasco, but earning custom gear was pretty cool. I'm sure it could have been done in game, but I wonder if they would have done it at all if they didn't do it through a browser (I'm sure it's more complicated through the game).

I had the same reaction. GTA4 + FarCry 2 getting 9+ reviews boggled my mind. I lost a lot of confidence in reviewers.

I think a lot of it had to do with hype though. I was really pumped for GTA IV, especially the online part, and it let me down in a lot of ways. Looking back on it now, it wasn't that bad, but it didn't meet my expectations and I still don't think it's a 10. Probably an 7-8, and I still don't understand why people think it has a 'good story'.

FarCry I...

Blood Omen is already on the store.

6104d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

While we're talking about Soul Reaver (a game I loved, btw) did anyone get Blood Omen?

It's the only game in the series I haven't played and I'm wondering how it is. Are the load times bad? I got Street Fighter Alpha and got immediate buyers remorse due to bad load times (also..the game wasn't that great).

Is it bearable, or at least worth getting anyway?

"if they are camping they are an easy target."

That isn't necessarily true. Claymores can definitely protect snipers from incoming threats. If not actually killing a target, they can warn the sniper of his presence. I have literally changed the outcome of a battle by sitting in the tower in the map with the downed helicopter. I don't usually like to camp (when I snipe I usually try to displace pretty often), but you can get pretty insane k/d ratios when you do.

No wait, he must have just forgot the '/sarcasm' tag.

Right?

I get what you're saying, but your comment is extremely ironic.

You lambaste him for saying MAG is better when he hasn't played every game, and then you crown MW2 GOTY... Have you played any of them?

Yeah they announced that a while ago. At least a year back.

Seems to be one of those vaporware games, though. Kind of fell off the radar.

I appreciate you opinion, especially since you backed it up with statements about why you think the game looks bad, and the personal issues that you had playing Indigo Prophecy/games like this/internet videos of gameplay/anything.

I would now like to initiate a friendly debate on why I think you are wrong and use my own opinion and experiences to back it up.

Oh, wait...

I see your point, but people are just comparing older reviews which makes the scale look skewed. When Ninja Gaiden scores a 5/5 and Uncharted doesn't, it looks a little funny.

Really you have to look at it from author to author and not the entire site. It isn't just one person writing everything. If this author scores 360 exclusives consistently higher than he may be biased, but maybe he just has higher standards than the NG1 reviewer (I'd think much higher).

It's al...

To that I'd say Bluray vs DVD9.

I can see Sony justifying the price hike because of the new format, but that doesn't really matter because I can see both companies justifying the hike due to increased dev time (assuming the developers actually get a larger amount).

I have trouble understanding why 360 owners/Halo Fans can't admit that the price of ODST was too high. I can see the argument "yeah it's a bit too expensive, but I fudgin love me some Halo", but ...

Ico is REALLY hard to find new/in good condition though.

Also, I'm a complete trophy whore so I love the idea of adding trophies to my favorite games. I'd definitely be getting platinum for this collection (assuming they have a platinum).
