I'm really looking forward to Trine as well. I hadn't even heard of it until like last week and it looks pretty awesome. Exactly my kind of game too.
I don't know if they're biased or not, but their scale is different from other sites. They score around two points lower than every other site for every review of theirs that I have seen. They just take the 10 point scale more to heart. 6 is still a good game for them where it would be an 8 for anyone else. Also, they seem to be extremely negative a lot.
Their scale is fine and I don't really care, except you know the fanboys are gonna be all over this despite the fact that Fat ...
GOTY is not announced by one company/website/TV show. A lot of people have a lot of different opinions about GOTY and it's more of a fun thing to see who shares what opinion. You can also see what ~5 games were the best of the year.
I believe the G4 awards were voted on, and any game that came out THE FUDGING YEAR BEFORE should have been disqualified.
Socom did a very basic version of that on the PS2. You could issue commands to your squad using a mic.
It only recognized the words on its menu, but it worked.
I don't think voice recognition beyond that is really attainable. It would cost waaay to much and would just be a minor feature. Unless you programmed effects it has on the characters you interact with and the plot. But the cost of doing something like that would be astronomical.
I don't have the bandwidth to watch this, so can someone confirm that this isn't free roam...forever crushing my hopes and dreams?
Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh
Open World Batman would have been epic.
So is it or isn't it a loss than?
You seem conflicted.
When you do a google search you need to spell it "review"...
Are his comments about SF4 on the PS3 accurate? I don't own it, but "the online community is on the 360" kind of felt like a cop out.
Also, N+ and Alien Hominid aren't good choices imo. They are on other platforms and I think N+ would be better on a portable (it seems like an on the go type of game). Alien Hominid is just a PS2 game to me, but I don't know what they added for the HD version.
M4G confirmed for 2029.
Are you in the beta? How do you know what the control scheme is, let alone any lag issue?
I'd like to see the control scheme if you have it. If you were just trolling then nm.
I would have made them #1.
Sure their games don't come out very frequently...but if Sony released the PS3 and a Team ICO game for $600 with no intention of releasing any other games ever, I still would have bought it.
That's how much I fudging love that studio and their games.
@cranium
I think he actually has the ability to warp. That would be pretty awesome. Hard to pull off well, but it could be awesome.
Also time travel. I'm not sure how electricity links to that but it could be hinting at his powers expanding past electricity. Or they could just be drawing vague connections.
I personally think there is enough to do with just electricity. He could shoot Street fighter-like balls of electricity, or add more blade/projectile...
Well..I wonder what the problem could be he...
OH CHRIST! THERE'S A FAT WOMAN STUCK IN THE INTERNET PIPES!!!!
I thought Epic owned the Gears IP and MS paid for 2 exclusive games.
I could be wrong, but I always hear about how Gears 3 could come to the PS3 because Epic would be free to do so at this point. I mean, it probably won't happen but it isn't impossible (assuming MS doesn't own the IP, which I'm pretty sure they don't)
...and now I want character customization in the next Western game.
My guy would be a fat, human Mr. Peanut with a vest that doesn't quite fit, under a trench coat. A sawed off shotgun and a revolver in his belt and a rifle strapped to his back.
Awesome...
I think you just mean Legacy of Kain Series.
I would love another game in that series. Unfortunately Raziel was my favorite character and they went and killed him off. Soul Reaver 2 was so good that I had to go back and play the first one, and then couldn't wait for defiance.
I'm still hoping Blood Omen comes to PSN so I can play every game in the series.
First of all, spoiler alert....
Second, the sword could be passed to a new person, different time period, etc.
The story was basically centered around the sword anyway. Her clans lives were all dedicated to protecting it. It would be easy for someone else to pick it up. A series based around an object rather than a person is genius.
I can't tell if owned is a genuine troll or is simply trying to be a sarcastic generalization of trolls. His comments are just so uninspired.
Anyway, I think I'd prefer a class based Halo, or COD4-like weapons load out Halo (I haven't played 3 tho). Same for Warhawk. I really hate running around looking for weapons just to lose it all in one millisecond, or get camped on. I really don't like it when games do that (I didn't mind it so much in the air playing Warhawk, but hated it ...
How is he a fanboy if what he says is true. Epic had a contract with MS for 2 games. How does that make them second party? They were developing games for other platforms while they were under the contract for those two games.
I assume the contract has also already expired, since they've released that second game. They made great exclusives for the 360, but they aren't a second party developer.
Stop throwing the word fanboy at random people. If he was wrong you could...
Sales have more to do with marketing.
People wouldn't know if they thought a game was crap unless they had purchased and played it. If they already bought it then you can't undo that sale. You can sell it back, but the company that made the game still got your money.
The media surrounding a game has a lot more to do with sales than the game quality as each person perceives it. If there is enough hype and a few good reviews (which are just opinions) then people will ...
