I don't see the author's point at all. His entire argument doesn't matter because it comes down to one point:
If you like a game you should buy it new. That way you support the developer.
I don't really care if people buy used copies, but I hate buying from "middleman" stores like Gamestop. Their only purpose is to buy low and sell high. Selling new items is just secondary to them. People should just game trade instead.
They did that to balance the game. If you could one shot people on like 50% of their body, everyone would be camping.
Snipers are useless enough in objective based games. Do people not remember how shitty it was to find themselves on the barrel side of an AWP?
Couldn't this just mean Raiden has a stun sword?
For that price you can just get a hooker.
If you scrounge up a few more bucks, you might even be able to get one with teeth!
Oh boy!
I actually agree with that one. I did not like RE4 that much and don't really get the love for it. I won't even touch RE5 because it keeps the same stupid gameplay and idiotic story (I am assuming that from the trailers).
They have the tech now, they should reboot the series and put ACTUAL ZOMBIES into an urban (raccoon city) environment.
I don't see how anyone can hate Half Life 2 though.
...this is getting out of hand.
They're fudging GIFs. :/
Also, wtf is going on in the first one? It looks like some alien animal running around.
I got the game a couple of months ago and when I put it in it must have taken a half hour to update. I don't really think its that big a deal though. Just watch a little TV or something. It only happens once so it's not really a big deal.
It's like the complaint over installing game data. Are people seriously that impatient?
I feel like killing dudes is way too hard in MAG. I aim for the head and shoot in bursts but I get owned all the time. I started to wonder if I should just be holding the trigger down. I usually wear lighter armor, but I can't believe how bad my k/d ratio is. I wish they had a "hardcore" mode, although that might not work well with a 256 game.
Luckily I'm a pretty good medic...even though I barely ever get revived. This is another game that could benefit fro...
Every person on a mic in that games sounds like they're trying to be gangsters. It is so effing annoying.
But yeah that was a pretty fun game online.
When did you last play it? You're memory of the game is warping what the game actually was.
I remember watching someone play it and thinking it was awesome. Then I played it myself and it really wasn't all that great. The graphics definitely don't hold up to Killzone at all (I often remember games as looking better than they did too though).
The story wasn't that great (or maybe I just didn't connect since I didn't play the first one)...
Terrified?
I would say console gamers don't buy this because it's borderline cheating.
Also, most console gamers don't sit at a desk.
And old info. Linux isn't supported on the PS3 anymore, so I'm not sure why it's mentioned.
Copy paste job, perhaps?
He also fails doesn't mention the 80gb PS3 that emulated PS2 games, but that doesn't really matter I suppose.
That's what Team ICO has been doing, and they make the best games ever.
I envision moving around in 3D space.

Bioshock 2 is an escort mission...over and over and over again.
I thought Bioshock 1 was a little overhyped, but it was still a far superior game.
I just hope they give me infinite eve, or regenerating health for this game. I despise the triple management of ammo, health and eve...its gets pretty annoying. I mean in Bioshock 2 I'm basically a tank and you're telling me I can't just crack open those stupid vending machines?
A complicated array of mirrors that reflect the sky around the city.
...or magic.
Well he did say franchise, and MS owns the IP so....
This article has very little to say. I feel like he could have said "I hope Halo sells better because I love Halo" and it would have essentially been the same thing.
In fact I think the "hard work" part is pretty bullshit. I bet Treyarch is working their asses off because they're tired of being considered 2nd tier.

I personally thought Agro handled fine as long as you thought of him as an animal rather than a 4 legged car. Animals hesitate, so it really just made him feel more real to me. Otherwise the article is pretty well written.
I fudging hate the half circle move that is required for basically any street fighter-like fighting game. I like to use the d-pad and I can never pull it off.
The end result is I twitch and duck like 10 times before I can actually pull anything off.
I loved DOA2 for its counter mechanic though. Countering in every other game seems to need god-like timing combined with insane button combos.
Well I only speak American, so I'm all set.
