My question is, why do you think so?
I don't think it is likely. They just changed it due to the big uproar about it in the first place. Why would they throw it back in after people purchased it? The backlash would be worse than it was when they were just planning to do it, and I doubt that they want to burn any more consumer goodwill than they already have. It will completely kill Xbox. You could make the argument that, with a future console they may try this strategy again, and consumers may/may still not be ready for ...
They really can't do that though, if they want it to matter. They could make the Xbox One not require Kinect but still have it in the box for those that want to use it. They could drop the price down some more if they want, but its obvious that they are trying to make as much profit as they can.
They are making Kinect matter more by including in every box. What remains to be seen is if the standard inclusion with the console will make a meaningful impact on games and experiences in the future.
Even though every One will come with Kinect, I wonder if Microsoft will make it so that it doesn't need to be hooked up to the console in order to play games? Obviously, it would be needed for some of the extra stuff that the console can do, but I'm sure that some wil...
Like Omega said, The NCAA seems to be distancing from not just EA, but games in general. This only applies to EA right now because they are the only ones making a licensed football gaming that features the NCAA. With court battles that have been going on, the NCAA obviously wants further the organization from any other possible problems in the future. This would include any possibility of college sports video games created by EA or anybody else. So, I guess there can still be college games...
2K won't be making a college football game, at least not one with the NCAA according to how this sounds.
Yep. Shame too.
NYC:
Not if you are looking for college football, it seems. From how this sounds, no company will be making any NCAA branded games in the future. NCAA Football 15 may be the last official college game we ever see.
Good. I was thinking about this game recently, wondering what was up with it.
I'll admit, while I am excited about the PS4 and future games, I am slightly annoyed at the constant submissions of everything that Cerny says.
I think that, deep down (and really, on the surface) every game maker wants call of duty sales no matter how realistic/not realistic that may be.
Right there with ya!
I am interested in this game, but it isn't high on my list of One games at this point. I will keep an eye on how it develops though, as I do at least want to play it. Not sure if it is purchase worthy just yet though.
Really looking forward to this game!
I'm really excited about the next gen consoles and all, but it seems like every other submission is Cerny quote.
This news is not new.
Okay? But if you chose to have the console connected at all times, then it would be always on...until you didn't want it to be. What are you getting at? Or did I word things wrong?
Going on title alone, I don't agree. I think that what they should have done was made the always on stuff optional, or at least make some type of compromise. There is no good reason, imo, to make someone rely on an internet connection in order to ensure access to purchased single player content. Not to mention any other hassles that can occur due to spotty/non-existing availability.
However,if they said "hey, here are some great benefits that you can enjoy if yo...
I don't see what the problem is. She isn't just head of Xbox. She is the head of a larger part that Xbox just falls under. Besides, when it comes down to it, what will matter most is what happens from this point forward under her direction.
Agreed!
