Well, it isn't a game site. Looks like it is strictly for investors. Still, you would think they would do a little more research and get it right.
They really are amazing experiences. The problem I have with this idea that these games are "narratives" first and foremost is that they are really just really great games with exceptional plot and dialogue. There is just as much action and gameplay in God of War as there ever was. But the story and writing is just so much better in the new God of War. Somehow people are suggesting they would rather have weaker story and weaker writing? lol.....ok? Not sure how that makes sens...

I never said anything MS has done was a desperate move. I see nothing "desperate" about a finance option. If you consider the PSVR trial desperate....fine. Really don't care though.

You guys are really overplaying the "emotional" aspects of God of War and understating the incredible gameplay that dominates it. I don't know what is more over the top than Kratos fighting Norse gods and monsters. You want button combos? Not sure why there is this thought that God of War doesn't have plenty. Shield combos, runic combos, leviathan combos....etc. The essence of God of War is still very much in this game.
Have you played it? It is incredibly awesome. But either way, DMC doesn't need to try and copy the formula that made GoW so great. It has its own identity.

I rarely concern myself with how long a game is. I'll play an 8 hour linear game or I'll put in 100 hours in an open world. But only IF the game is worth the time investment. Who cares if a game has 40+ hours if those 40 hours are a miserable ride? Give me a game with less than 10 hours that is actually fun every time. If you were paying Microsoft directly and had the option to upgrade to the next Xbox when it comes out and you were not forced to buy subscriptions to other services in buying the console then you are talking about a similar deal. But that is not this deal.
Shouldn't be a surprise. You are not going to port a game to 3DS from consoles without reworking the entire game. So most devs don't even bother. Switch, however, has received a ton of ports due to its more traditional configuration and control scheme.

Options are always good, but phones are a little different in that you are already paying monthly for the service. So I'm just adding $30 to an existing payment to finance my phone at zero interest. Plus, most phone payment plans give the option for trading up to a new phone after a period of time. Xbox All Access is strictly a line of credit with a fixed payment plan and required two year subscriptions to GP and Live. So, for the most part, apples and oranges.
