I just don't see all these "pickup and play" arguements being relevant anymore. Games nowadays have checkpoints within 5-10 minutes intervals, and you can put the system on standby or press the home button and pick up right where you left off later.
Maybe none of their black friends were interested in modeling for them at the time?
Any game can be a pickup and play game especially on the Vita. Just press the home button or put the system on standby. The game will be paused at exactly where you left it and you can pick it up anytime you want.
You can tell a story fine in first person. Just not sure if Activision put much emphasis on story as opposed to multiplayer.
boy oh boy!
I see it as a distraction. It'll in the end weaken demand for these games to actually be made specifically for the Vita.
I'm referring to the fact that the game isn't actually run off the device's hardware. It's merely a controller in this case.
"Playable on Vita" should not be confused with "Playable with Vita"
I just want devs to focus on making games with a single console in mind and not try to shoehorn the games to different systems with different controls and interfaces. I want Vita games to be Vita games and PS3 games to be PS3 games.
It doesn't weaken the Vita's capabilities, it undermines them. I'd much rather have these games ported over with some sacrifices to the graphics than streaming them.
That's taking my comment to an extreme and out of context. I mean what's the point of putting all the powerful specs in the machine if the graphics aren't rendered from the hardware? I take comfort in knowing that the graphics on the screen is rendered from the hardware that's actually in my hands and not having to worry about being disconnected when the subway train goes underground.
A bigger screen is hardly a good thing if the resolution is still the same. The pixel density will be even lower.
Don't care for it. Why did I bother with spending $250 on powerful hardware if it's not getting used?
He is leaving the computer entertainment branch of the company, which is what he said.
"High Definition" refers to clarity in general. If you think something has good clarity you'd call it HD. I think MGSHD Vita is pretty darn clear, both audio and visual.
He never mentioned anything about the Vita's downfall. Just the apps.
I don't get why it's so wrong for people to give some feedback these days. It's not like he's telling everyone that the Vita is horrible and everybody should boycott it.
I'm definitely NOT fine with the direction BF3's going. It's too hell bent on beating CoD to the casual audience. I don't like BF3 anymore, but I hate CoD for ruining the industry.
Retina means nothing if the game doesn't run at native resolution.
Medal of Honor Allied Assault menu theme was pretty amazing.
