Good for you. But someone more serious than you wouldn't. Do you go in the settings and switch from 5.1 to 7.1 every time?
Xbox is such a flawed device. It was supposed to be an all in one home entertainment hub. But it failed at that miserably at it was broken as a hub. There are actually design flaws in the One that haven't been fixed and are still a problem with the Slim (like 5.1 screwing up if you have a 7.1 surround or better). Its nice the slim has an UHD player, but people that are in to that sort of thing don't even use it and have a stand alone player because the UHD player on the One sucks....
Rayman Legends is a masterpiece. No an exclusive, but often overlooked. After that I loved 3D World. And then Mario Kart, Splatoon, and Mario Maker were all 8.5-9. Thats the only 5 games I enjoyed on the WIiU. For me, 5 games is worth the $350 cost though. Still more games than I enjoyed on the Wii.
Switch really should have come with a Pro controller rather than a grip. The grip is going to a pain in the ass and it looks uncomfortable. And it doesn't even charge. Plus, if you want to play games like Arms you well also need to purchase another pair on joycons. Gets expensive.
No idea why HD rumble even matters. Nothing is innovative about the Switch. Only good, innovative ideas this gen imo are: PS4 streaming though remote play via Vita and PSTV and PS Now, VR on PS4, and XB1 all in one entertainment hub (it was a massive failure and didn't work correctly, but the idea to have your video games, satellite, streaming apps, and bluray player all connected for instant access on one screen could have been amazing.)
I just got a 7.2 surround sound system and am currently re-wiring everything. Although I never really cared about XB1 being an all in one entertainment hub before, as I was redoing setup it hit me how amazing that is. Video games, blurays, streaming services, and Satellite all coming from the same place. I would no longer need to input to a different source and boot it up. Amazing. So I ran my satellite though my XB1 and to my astonishment it degrades picture quality. That alone is a de...
Huh? I have 2 standard PS4s and a Pro, PSVR, a Vita, two PSTVs, two XB1s, two Wii Us, a standard 3Ds, 3DS XL, and a New 3DS. I waste more money on dumb video crap I don't need than anyone. I don't even want a Scorpio but I will get one if Microsoft fixes it and makes it a true all in one entertainment hub instead of screwing up the 7.1 and destroying the HD satellite picture when using it. And yes, I will get two Switch's when Splatoon 2 releases. One for me and one for my so...
@Erik
The rumor was that it operates at 40% while undocked, not that it's decreased by 40%. That's a 50% power difference. And Nintendo has confirmed it does not operate at 100% when undocked to prevent overheating and to save battery. The reasoning is probably more PR talk then anything, but it has been confirmed. You have no idea what you are talking about yet acting like everyone else is idiotic.
Yes it matters. If people buy the BS that this is home console gaming that you can also take with you on the go its going to sell a hell of a lot better than if people see it for what it really is, an overpriced portable that can plug into your tv like a bunch of handhelds before it.
Some of the people here are so stupid. Why do you believe what Nintendo is saying? It's marketing. A home console that plays home console games on the go sounds amazing. Do you expect them to say what it really is, a portable that plugs into your tv like a bunch of portables before it? That doesn't sound as good, puts the 3DS in a bad position, and its harder to charge home console prices and paid online memberships for portable gaming. It literally comes with a shell to put the ...
You are wrong.
I never use EA Access or my XB1 so I constantly forget I subscribe to EA. Cool. I guess I will download it.
Not sure why Nintendo's marketing matters in this. What do you expect them to say? The Switch will obviously be used more as a handheld then a home console. It's not even coming with a real controller. I imagine that there will be a bundle not to far off that doesn't come with the cradle or the grip.
I really hope there is a new Ratchet and a Sunset Overdrive 2. Sunset Overdrive felt like a successor to Ratchet, but also incredibly innovative. The traversal system and the upgrading was so unique and fun. A Sunset Overdive 2 with a battle arena like the Ratchet games plus more online MP would become my most anticipated game ever.
Well they got the top 2 right for sure imo. Up Your Arsenal is still my all time favorite game by far. After UYA and Going Commando it gets tricky. I would go with the original but it has aged horribly. Then A Crack In Time followed by Future Tools of Destruction. Future Tools was amazing except the fact that some weapons were now called gadgets and weren't upgradeable and the ammo was hard to come by. I will never understand that decision. So that's my top 5, and 5 of my favori...
Well, my problem is when I get motion sickness I get super sick where I can't do anything sometimes for over 48 hours. I have been super sick for the last 12 hours since I played the demo. It's 4:30 AM and I still feel like I'm going to puke. So unfortunately, as amazing as it looks in VR, I'm not going to be able to play it. Only other games to get me super sick were Robinson, Driveclub and Rigs. Oh yeah, and lol and me praising the VR but still getting downvotes because...
I just found out the demo existed (i thought there was only the kitchen demo) so I downloaded it to try the VR. The VR looks phenomenal. I played on Pro but I'm not sure if that matters. Truly wonderful, and everything is up close which works much better in VR and you notice the poor resolution much less up close. But damn, it made me sick. Too sick to play. I wish I could play 1st person VR games without getting sick. I wish more devs realized that third person works in VR.
What demo do people keep mentioning? I thought there was just the Kitchen VR demo which was just a cutscene?
Ok. Thank you.
Its the next Gamecube.
