I think charging for online for a portable is going to be a mistake. They don't have enough online games, it hurts the simplicity that Nintendo is know for, and it's really going to hurt MP communities. As far as VR goes, I don't see the point. I have PSVR and even its specs aren't great, but an inferior version to that is going to suck.
This is such BS. They would obviously prefer a better launch lineup and this is damage control. Should have at least had MK8 port and a Mario port at launch and a Smash port in like May. There are absolutely never droughts with PS4 and even XB1 because they have 3rd party support. There are SEVERAL games released every single week. Nintendo is full of crap.
EA completely screwed Respawn. It was literally the worst possible launch day it could have had this entire gen. Just crazy. If it simply released a month earlier it would have done much better. Such a shame, because TF2 is the best MP so far this gen imo.
Phones have a better screen then the Switch tho.
And Arms isn't a launch title.
Yeah because its not like people play games like Call of Duty, Mass Effect, SW Battlefront, or Madden.
Purchased Carnival Games VR, Holoball, and Tumble VR.
Who the hell cares about a physical copy of Binding of Isaac? You honestly think counts as a good launch?
I just can't imagine many huge Zelda fans not already owning a Wii U. Wii U had two Zelda remasters, Hyrule Warriors, Link in Smash and Nintendo Land, and the promise of at least one exclusive Zelda game that never came.
People exaggerate the hell out of the popularity of the Zelda franchise. It's not even a top 5 NIntendo franchise. And this one isn't even exclusive. It will do well because its the only game at launch and its getting a ton of hype for being a launch game, but not as well as several other Nintendo games would have if they launched in its place. Anyway, its a terrible launch. A Mario Kart 8 port and a Mario port at launch would have really helped.
@Aenea
Yeah. It obviously depends on the person you idiot. If you don't play video games EA Access does not make financial sense for you. Just like me buying a butter churner that was 99% off wouldn't make financial sense for me. You are obviously a real deep thinker and I appreciate your obvious point. But EA Access is undeniably good value for the money for many gamers. For instance, a friend of mine just bought an XB1. He hasn't played a single game this gen and...
A Killzone VR game? That would be terrible. FPS do not work in VR, and the Killzone games aren't very good. Rigs already bombed. And FPS would make people throw up and it would like like crap with VR. VR works with stuff up close but stuff in the distance just looks pixelated and terrible. Compare the opening of RE7 which looked terrible because you were outside and saw in the distance, to when you got inside with tight corridors and it looked awesome in VR. I would much rather see...
@Moomman
So you are interested in Skyrim on Switch, but not interested enough in Skyrim to check out any of the other incarnations of the game since 2011? Sound like your just clinging to any 3rd party support Nintendo gets.
I have a ton of problems with the Switch, and right now it does not look like a good console. But I would say it is no more rushed than XB1 and PS4. XB1 was an all in one entertainment hub you could talk to, yet it could never understand what I said so I had to detach the Kinect and when you put your satellite into it it degraded the pic quality. It also STILL has broken 7.1 and so does the S. Plus a substandard media player. The PS4 did not have the rest mode feature or DriveClub that ...
Well a friend of mine has a dev kit and isn't impressed.
This console is marketed as home console gaming on the go. For that to work they need home console games. Without 3rd party support they won't get them and it will just feel like a portable that only plays Nintendo games.
Weird. I thought it was an option, not a requirement. And maybe stop with all the porn and dating website subscriptions.
Sony is in a really good position right now obviously. Microsoft right now seems irrelevant. I got on Metacritic the other day and clicked on video games and the 5 games that popped up were all PS4 games. 4 of which were exclusive and one was RE7, which has exclusive stuff on PS4. But they still need to remain motivated and If I were them I would announce more support for PSVR and really try to take buzz away from the Switch and Scorpio. I don't think the Switch will do all that well...
I really don't like Battlefront, except Hero vs Villains. That mode is awesome and worth the $60 alone. Such a fun mode. Its easy to pick up and play, strategic, and mixes up the gameplay. IMO those are the three things that make a MP game/mode good. Now I just hope the rest of the game is good, because other than the amazing music and graphics I didn't like anything other than Hero Vs Villains. Oh, and I hope the maps are all free in the sequel. I hate paid maps. It just fra...
Bold proclamation. You really went on a limb with that one.
