Im the opposite. After playing the BF4 beta it just reassured me that COD ghosts and the new Killzone will be my shooters this holiday. I will still pick up BF4 at launch or close to it.
Download speed is one of the downsides to Playstation for me. I can download full retail games from Steam/Xbox quickly but a simple update for my PS3 takes far longer then it should.

This is one of the best games I played for a long while. If this game don't creep you out then I'm not sure what will. Its not a difficult game but you will be on edge till the end.
It will be. I can see us in retirement homes with tvs set up playing video games. It will replace the card/board games they play today.

When you buy an xbox or playstation console you can play exclusives as well as 3rd party games. If you buy a Nintendo system you can play exclusives but very few 3rd party games come to the system. This forces you to buy a second system. This is expensive.
I don't see the value in a Nintendo system these days. I miss the old Nintendo. That was a great time.
Please explain the complexities of the new engine other then the expected minor graphical improvements. Is there gameplay differences that I fail to see as a result of this new engine? I seem to be in the minority when reading comments on N4G.

Your right. If this game becomes a gears or Halo for Microsoft they wont let it go to Sony no matter how much money it takes to keep it.
Even if it does go to sony it will more likely be when the second Titanfall is launched on XBOX/PC. At that point it will be an old game ported over just to make some extra money.

Its true going from 720P to 1080P takes considerable toll on hardware resulting in lower FPS.
Bottom line is if next generation gaming means a bump up in frames while staying at last generations resolutions then it isn't "Next Gen". We are stuck with these console specs for the next 7-8 years. That's not very "future proof".

If your talking console games then yes the best games were 720p because that's the regular resolution for console games this generation. Retail games that were 1080p were upscaled not native.

Good that its 60fps but is it 1080p? Did they sacrifice resolution for the frame rate? Id hate to think that a next generation console purchase only gives me a few extra frames. 1080p should be expected with PS4/X1
The biggest difference that console gamers will see with the first batch of next generation games is the 1080p resolution bump. Over time other graphical elements will get better like they do every generation.

When I hear extreme trash talkers in-game all I can think of is a pale overweight or scrawny guy who never picked up a weight in his life. This video confirms this.
