...I'd rather give the blame to Nintendo. Even if this example isn't their fault, their implementation of digital distribution is... irredeemably bad. I'd say they were 10 years in the past, but even 10 years ago people were doing a better job of it.
Did you even read the story?
It's total bullshit. Saying, "There will be news in the future," is NOT news.
...Who approves this garbage?
Wow. What a poorly written article. And it's not like the games listed are even REMOTELY obscure, either.
No.
Good God, no.
Seamless transition between CGI and in-game cutscenes/play is silly. Cutscenes often aren't in the same style as in-game cinematics!
Motion blur? Jesus Christ. No. Motion blur is just a visual "cheat" to avoid FPS drops in action sequences. The ONLY reason it exists at all is because of technology limitations. Blur can help certain scenes and gameplay aspects, yes, but as with J.J. Abrams and lens flairs, Mass...
I liked it on SNES and N64... until I discovered other, better sci-fi shooters, like Freespace and mechwarrior.
Right now... Starfox doesn't interest me at all. The only reason I have to pay attention to it at all is to maintain the dull glimmer of hope that the sci-fi sim genre might make a comeback.
The only flaw in the 3DS hardware is the... well, the actual 3D screen itself. It's worthless for portable gaming because it require the DS to be held very still, at a very specific angle and distance relative to the eyes.
If you something for mobile gaming, the 3DS is worthless.
If you want something handy for gaming around the house, the 3DS is perfect.
If the 3DS has shown us anything, it's that "mobile" gaming belongs solely to m...
I agree. Here's hoping they manage to improve on Heavy Rain's weaknesses (writing, script, voice acting), too.
Sales decreasing could be a result of many possible circumstances. To name a few:
1) Fewer people want a 3DS
2) People plan on buying a 3DS after the price drop
3) Price drop scares people away from buying a 3DS
Really, there are too many to bother listing out. Sales data right now doesn't really matter: what matters is whether or not there's a substantial increase in sales after the 3DS price drop takes effect.
If the...
Yeah.
Check the Japanese PSN. It's got plenty of stuff.
Er, no. It's shoddy journalism.
You do NOT print stories unless you can verify sources. Which means you have to have multiple sources. A single unnamed source is insufficient.
It's shoddy journalism and it's lazy journalism--so about average for gaming journalism, really.
EDIT: Prodigy... that doesn't matter. Rumors are not news. That's tabloid journalism... a vein of "journalism" defined by it's unreliabili...
It is harsh... but only a little. Most of the other review tend to gloss over the flaws, or ignore them entirely. There is very little puzzle variation, and there are FEW puzzles. Character interaction is very, very limited. Most of the player input (which determines endings) comes in the form of randomized questions asked by a disembodied voice, or text messages (which the player can answer a variety of different ways) that have to visible effect on the narrative.

Uh... Sony won the last generation. By a huge margin. That's practically the ONLY generation where one console was overwhelming superior to the competition.
And, goddamn it, you can't dismiss criticism like that. They're not "bitter fanboys." Most of the people complaining, if not all of them, are Nintendo's customers. By ignoring the legitimate complaints and concerns of customers, you're committing the same sin that led Nintendo to the position...
On the surface this seems like a good thing, but on the other hand many AC fans have really... awful ideas about the series, so who knows.
Clearly, the artist has no idea what a PS3 looks like.
At best, I'd say it looks like a deformed PS2 with wired 360 controllers.
I don't care about specs.
I just hope we get some more games announced for it. Let's see some Project Diva. Some Gundam/Macross goodness. Some Monster Hunter.
I, for one, don't plan on buying any Nintendo products again. At least not new. I've had it with their bullshit.
I meant more versatile than an iPad. Basically, it's all about handling different types of media. Email and Internet is one, then there's music and movies... all of which the iPad has.
Basically, I think if handhelds are to have any future, it would be something like an iPad with analog sticks, running an OS similar in versatility to Windows 7.
The problem with the 3DS is that it failed on virtually every level.
It was too expensive.
It lacked strong 1st party games to entice casual gamers.
It lacked strong 3rd party games to entice core gamers.
The limitations of the 3D effect and short batter life prevented it from being used as a PORTABLE device.
The Playstation Vita, at first glance, looks to avoid those mistakes--it has a cheaper price tag, has plenty of high-profile gam...
Well, kinda depends on how long the loading screens are up there. ME2 on PS3 had HORRIBLE loading times. It would be nice for little mini-games to occupy those space.
Hell, a space-invaders type minigame would be perfect for those segments. We could control little 8bit Normandies.
