Got JaK & Daxter coming tomorrow. Will have to put down DKCR3D for a bit to try it out on the small screen.
It's certainly an amazing story.
The game, itself though... was a very lacking. It's kind of like Planescape Torment in that respect, I suppose.
No real surprise. The 360 and Wii stopped being competitive years ago; the PS4 announcements signal the end of the PS3 era, and the WiiU is... still not yet at the party.
Remember, folks: the 3DS is the successor to THE number 1 best-selling handheld gaming console of all time... AND the number 2 best-selling gaming platform of all time.
....
And while I'm dropping some facts, here are some interesting ones:
-The 3DS has ...
I haven't really been following the news... have they commented on the level design? I'm curious, will it be a more segmented world like the first two games, or more like a true open world title?
I ask because I'd love to see an open world Dark Souls, their AI simply isn't good enough for it, so it'd require some major improvements.
Still waiting for the unified account system, Nintendo.
I really want to throw money at you, I really do. But you make it so hard!
Microsoft is exactly that stupid.
Since when was "frustrating" the same as "difficult?"
If a game is ever frustrating, it's due to poor game design, not to it being "too hard."
Look at Dark Souls and Demon's Souls. Those two games are astonishingly difficult, but are never "frustrating" because the core game mechanics are perfectly refined and the design of the games impeccable.

@justastranger: that's only true for the North American market if you ignore the context of the data. The 360 had that sales lead because it was released BEFORE the Wii, and had a big head start.
If you look at the curve of the data, you'll see that the Wii sold at a much higher rate than the 360 in North America.
And, you know, everywhere else, too.
From where I'm sitting, you're the one acting the part of a jackass troll.
All Xof did was state a single fact and pose a question. You read into that (confirming your own bias) and going all super-defensive.
The simple fact is that the Wii's install base -did- have a positive effect on sales. I can't see why anyone would argue otherwise. No one is talking about "casuals" here. We're just saying that Xenoblade had more room to se...
I have zero stake in your argument.
I just find it amusing that someone with numbers in their username is making fun of someone else's username.
And, now, I also find it amusing that you're accusing those who disagree with you to be children, while at the same time resorting to straw man attacks, typing out in all caps, and pretending to cry like a little baby.
And I give your shameless spamming a giant "**** you, ***hole" out of twenty.
Sadly, my hipster power level is still too low to appreciate any score higher than a two.
Phil32... all I have to say to you is this:
Pot. Kettle. Black.
Same here.
And the fact that the next generation of consoles is set up to be a choice between an elephant turd, a camel turd, and a pigeon turd makes that dynamic unlikely to change.
My understanding is that the "series" is broken into segments that are only peripherally related.
Metal Gear 1-2
Metal Gear Solid
Metal Gear Solid 2
Metal Gear Solid 3-4
Metal Gear Rising
...Or something like that.
What you're describing is essentially the Chrono Trigger DS remake.
Good lord.
Remember the good old days, when Armored Core designs didn't look like ass?
EXCITING NEWS!
FOEs in the new Etrian Odyssey game... are exactly the same as in the last Etrian Odyssey game.
NEW AND EXCITING.
I'm kind of amazed at the popularity of Vesperia. Yes, the characters were fantastic... but the setting was pretty shallow for a Tales Of game, and the overall narrative was pretty dull IMHO.
What sources?
All I've seen is Nintendo reps constantly backpedaling.
