Say what you will about the Vita, the people who own it are very much "gamers" through and through, given how high the attach rate is with so many games. Maybe part of that comes from the fact that we don't really have a lot to choose from, but even with the 3DS was at its worst, a substantial portion of the install base literally only had a single game.
@BeZdaBest: way to completely miss the point!
All I did was point out that the Vita has a mu...
Eh, it's decent.
Easily the best SRPG on the 3DS, but that's not exactly a ringing endorsement.
It's certainly worth playing, don't get me wrong, but it's... sorely deficient in certain areas.
Is Raziel in this list? 'Cause if he's not, it's complete malarkey.
But you're still not buying them for 100% of, you're buying them for whatever the default price is for non-PS+ subscribers.
@AusRogo: why do people still not realize this? "Free" games on PS+ are not purchases, they are rentals. You only have access to those games so long as you maintain a PS+ subscription, once you stop paying that "rental fee," you can no longer play those games.
Xbox One not having b/c is... not the reason I'm not buying an Xbox One. That's the reason I'm not buying a PS4. I won't be buying an Xbox One because of /literally/everything/else/.
Hm... I wouldn't exactly call that "a lot of good news." To summarize, you're basically saying the Vita is getting one new IP and a bunch of PS3 ports?
It's kind of hard to get excited about that.
It certainly defined a generation. Not my generation, but a generation, certainly.
The so-called "other" casual gamer demographic, or the "dudebro" gamers that Microsoft seems to be counting on (exclusively) for the xbone.
What's the recent good news for Vita? Last I heard, there was absolutely nothing to look forward to but Ys.
It'll be different this time.
He won't take a stray bullet, or suddenly die from a cold (looking at you, JRPGs). He'll just melt when it's time for the desert level.
Just had a bit of a mind=blown moment when I realized FPS games have become so homogenous and samey that "niche shooter" is actually a thing that can exist now.
1) It's virtually impossible to make a -bad- Chess game.
2) The last "good" Chess game was made by Interplay. Yeah, /that/ one.
3( Chess is the very antithesis of a "niche" game.
I'm stunned at how many fellow gamers are apparently supportive of blatant copyright infringement used in the service of a morally indefensible industry.
Both of these things are inexcusable.
True enough, but it seems silly to complain about stupid writing in a Sucker Punch game. It has -never- been something they've been particularly skilled at.
It's not going to happen.
And if it did happen, it would suck.
The people who made KOTOR and KOTOR2 are too busy at work on some revolutionary kickstarter RPGs.
@kevnb: I don't see how "consoles themselves are DRM." Piracy exists on -EVERY- platform.
The simple fact of the matter is that console gamers will be able to play Diablo 3 offline. This means they can play the game whenever they want to, not only when Blizzard says they can.
They will also be able to play the game simply by running the game. They won't be forced to go through a launcher that forces the game to update, nor will they be force...
I remember prior to D3's release, there were a number of questions/comments about controller support, and Blizzard said stuff like "not right for the game, NOPE" and defended RMAH with "an integral part of the game" and a bunch of other bullshit.
It's really sad that the console version is shaping up to be significantly superior to the PC version.
No. No. No. No.
It's not exactly Rocket Science.
Many developers don't make any profit off their games, even the ones that are well received critically, and sell well.
Honestly, I'm a little worried about you that you couldn't put that together.
ME3's writing was just completely drivel from the outset. There was no transition in to the start of the third game, fewer dialog options, virtually zero interrupt moments, and the plot was pathetic, consisting of a MacGuffin Hunt that ended with a Deus ex Machina.
Yes, the ending was bad--but so was the rest of the game.
The fact that Bioware is STILL refusing to acknowledge that they screwed over their fans means we really shouldn't expect the quali...
Crowdfunding games for the Vita? Well, that's certainly something I would get behind, in literally -any- other circumstance. But AR games? Really? Is anyone clamoring for AR games?
