You're entitled to your opinion, but this commment:
"off line it's on rails"
... doesn't make sense. Usually the term on rails when talking about a videogame means that you don't control the character's movement. Well, if that's what you're implying here, it's false. If you're trying to say the game is linear, then...uh... ok? So was the first one, and just about every other FPS ever made. This one is no more painfully linear than any other FPS out...
This has nothing to do with the full game. This is only about the demo on Xbox Live. In that demo, there is no computer controlled opponent or online play. The only way to play is against another person in the same room with you.
Brilliant comment, as usual, Thom. Microsoft could learn something from Nintendo. Why do you think the Wii is selling like hot cakes? Why do you think they released it in 2006 and not in 2005? They spent the extra year on industrial design. Keyword here is "industrial." They made the thing not just for fashion, but also function, and it paid off. People see the product at tiny & sexy, like a Paris Hilton toy dog or something, and they like it, but they also have confidence...
I think they should just start reviewing the single-player & multiplayer portions of games separately. I mean, do it all in one review write-up, but give the two components separate scores. They already break it down like:
Presentation
Graphics
Sound
Gameplay
Longevity
Or whatever. They shouldn't have Gameplay... they should have Single-Player and Multi-Player scores in place of that. If a game is single-player only, then obvio...
The logo for R2 has the San Francisco bridge within it, which signifies that the majority of the game takes place in America, and that the events that take place in R2 are all set up by occurrances in San Francisco
*minor spoilers*
that's where Malikov was giving injections and tests to Jordan Sheperd, where Daedalus was "born".
*end spoilers*
So there is a building in this new R3 logo, too. If it's real, it would be worth figuring out w...
Why did they even do a remake of Record of Agarest War for the 360? It makes no sense.
I thought Episode 2 was a turd compared to all of the other iterations of Half Life. But that's just me. The rest of the Orange Box was full of top-notch win, though, that's for sure.
"Please don't say Resistance2, Halo3, Mario Kart, Gears, Goldeneye, etc.."
Pick a number between 1 and 10, but please don't say 1, 2, 4, 6, or 9.
Also... nothing is flawless.
Funny, I don't see him doing any of that right now. Nobody has trolled about the 360, and he's not defending Sony, he's spreading factual information (something that the linked article fails to do). Level-5 is holding a release party for the game on December 10. But apparantly you don't read or do any research before you make a comment.
No, it's not that there is such a thing as too high of a score for this game because it's multiplayer is the focus of it. The real issue if you want to talk like that is the double standard in reviews today. They talk about Resistance 2's single-player sucking (and, by the way, that's a load of crap, because it doesn't suck) and then dock points because of that, then they praise the multiplayer aspects but barely delve into discussing them, as though they're not important. But with L4D, th...
No matter what you do on this site, you cannot escape the disagree.
PC version is the best graphic adventure of all time, and the best storytelling in videogame history, and gives a serious run for the money to any movie or book ever written too. ****ing love Broken Sword / Circle of Blood.
@ Captain Tuttle:
The article's actual title is Blu-Ray Fails to Catch On. It was Omega4, who contributed this article to N4G, that changed the title to Consumers Find Blu-Ray A Turn-Off. It's a misleading title, it's not the title of the sourced article, and the claim made in this fabricated title is NOT made in the actual article. Omega4 has made up this title for the following reason:
Because he wants to elicit a reaction from N4G'ers so that his submission...
It's on my list! I loved the demo, can't wait to try the full game.
Castle Crashers doesn't belong on this list, and Buzz! Quiz TV definitely should be on here.
I really liked Enchanted Arms (it gets an unfairly bad rap for some reason, it's actually still my favorite straight-up JRPG of this generation, even above Eternal Sonata, Tales of Vesperia, Lost Odyssey, etc.) so I have hopes that From Software can crank out another enjoyable game with this one. We shall see.
They even gave Ratchet a 6? It's worse than I thought. They ARE fun haters!
Bastards. Why only available in Australia? I want this skin, too!

People hitting disagree buttons on people's lists are a bunch of morons. We're all entitled to our own opinion about this, and you can't expect everyone to agree with yours so what's the use of sitting behind your computer screen and pushing the disagree button every time someone's list puts games in a different order than you would? Get a life.
