Disbarment should be the LEAST of his worries- judges on multiple occasions have threatened to initiate action to disbar him DURING trials. The man needs a psych eval and criminal hearings on how many have been hurt by his gross incompetency.
Yes- they're saying the 20G PS3 actually "TRADES IN" for less, meaning it's worth less, than the Xbox 360.
And personally, I don't think this means they're right to limit Europe to the 60G version- Japan is more accepting of the "cool" factor of ultra-high-def TVs and paying more for a chic gadget (see Sony's own propaganda). Europe... not so much. Look at all the petitions already circulating- Europe wants the cheaper 20G.
Unlike past supposed exploits, this is coming from both Paradox and TeamXecuter- there's still the odd chance of BS, but Xecuter's hyperdrive at least is definately a real product, so it would be weird for them to lie now.
Eh, Magic Flute could make a good one. Battling the Queen of the Night, and making your way though the Three Trials... hmmm.. but with the implied near-rapage of the lead female, it would unfortunately be rated M. *sigh*

In case anyone missed it, Jack Tretton's the same guy who said that "We could sell the first 5million units without games." If there are high expectations, it's because Sony asked for them.

Interesting how shooters don't interest Japanese gamers, and how the Japanese market is so "tired" of shooter games, yet titles like Gears (and GTA, for that matter) are top-sellers.

Reminds me of the 360 launch- I worked at Gamestop the day after launch, and there were literally people there at the door the day after launch demanding to know about the "recall" Microsoft had issued because of the "massive" reports of 360s overheating...at just around 8 hours after the midnight launch.

Blockbuster titles easily under the limit: Oblivion, GoW, etc.
Storage problem? Er, no.
Combined with a potential rewards program for gamerscores in the works, this is incredible news.
And Oblivion is... hundreds of hours? Oh, snap!
Just because shooters tend to be shorter doesn't comment at all on 360.

Or drop the core, and bundle a bigger hard drive with the Pro for all the people who just have to have 5 HD movies, 6 demos, and three dozen CDs downloaded at the same time. Where's the :rolleyes: smiley? Heh.
As said though- even if Sony can muster a price cut, it's nothing Nintendo and MS aren't prepared to undercut.
I can't wait for the updated paint tool- one of the most fun parts of Forza was just making cool paint jobs for cars.
And for those who missed it- creating a fake overseas account is, at some level, technically a violation of international trade law (or causes the service to be in violation). Microsoft's hands are tied on this one. And yes, those fake overseas accounts will be banned. But you own personal account (your real one) is supposed to be safe.
Then again, the law could crack down on M$ and force total bannination of such boxes.. in which case- just delete your fake accounts now.
How can you say there's no super-weapon when the demo clearly shows heat-seeking missiles? And throwing a car at a criminal also seems like way more than should ever be necessary. Man, I can't wait for this game.

Unless I totally missed something, even the worst estimates never put Microsoft at anything more than losing ~$175/console (rouded up, that'd make $600/console), and most estimates said it was more like $450-$500 for a Premium/Pro console, with minimal losses. They might even be even or at profit per unit already.

I don't see why people are being so thick-skulled on this one- the only reason PS2 is being sold anymore is because Sony is still litigating their loss in the courts- if they stopped today, they'd have to pull ALL PS3s from ALL markets and pay Immersion for all their stealing- Sony can NOT afford that loss. Look up the case history- they've lost repeatedly, PS2 has been declared illegal to sell and recall issues ordered by the course multiple times, but Sony won't (and can't) stop litigating....
I was going to make a comment about "WTH did they spend it on" when I just saw the title- but the actual text makes sense. Advertising is often a much alrger expense than the actual title these days.
...now imagine how much has been spent pushing Crackdown on the masses (which wasn't even necessary considering how great the demo is, but hey).
