It's sort of like saying a Ferrari goes slower when you try to pull a trailer with it. Of course it'll be at least marginally slower. But if it's a very large trailer (Vista) and performace is only marginally affected as seen here, that's actually a good thing.
Oh, so you (basically) only care about PS3 games... now it all makes sense. Heh. Personally, I don't care at all about PS3's upcoming titles, so I'd disagree, but that's what opinions are for.
In no particular order: Halo 3, Forza 2, Fable 2, Blue Dragon, Lost Oddyssey, Crackdown, Super Smash Bros Wii, Mass Effect, and... whatever else. I'm out of money at that point.
I rarely play DVDs on my 360, but when I do, everything works fine. *shrug* What's the fuss?
And if there were tons of games, would people be whining they were rushed? And would people be whining they were "forced" to switch to Vista to play these games? Oh wait, people already ARE whining about both of these!
Anyway, all games alre also backwards-compatible (er, mostly) so anyone familiar with PS3's launch should be happy here.
Sick burn.
;)
"So how about this one: can those E3 PS3 demos be achieved on Xbox 360?"
Remember the Assassin's Creed demo from PS3 that 360 couldn't possibly pull off, and how actual gameplay was first shown on the 360 after that?
Yes, they can be achieved on 360. And they already have been.
...and what about all the people who are on their 5th through 8th PS2 who didn't get a single free repair at any point?
Yes, I've worked retail- and yes there are TONS of Sony fans who will moan about 360s crashing whilst paying for their 6th new PS2.
WTH?
So Sony has thus far INTENTIONALLY crippled their supposedly superior-due-to-1080p machine?
Er... okay?
Sure.
That makes sense.

Can't watch this vid atm, but real consoles buffs should look up how bot Sony's and Microsoft's first console was a joint venture- the MSX.

If this vid supposedly changes your view of Kutaragi, maybe this one will change your view of Gates. Heh.
"Before the appearance and great success of the Nintendo Famicom, MSX was the platform for which major Japanese game stu...
I think there's a big problem in the logic here through. Yes, it's going to be a quality launch when it hits (hopefully, depending on actual shipment numbers, etc)...
But it's also going to be almost exactly one full year after Sony initially promised it. And with that full year, the system really has nothing to show for it. Very expensive, few killer titles, fewer big exclusives, no games showing superiority over competitors in either graphics (360) or innovation (Wii), and th...
Yes, but will Game 3.0 be in 4d?
White Engine? What? Huh?
;)
There's a game called Progess Quest out there for Windows. Google it, play it, and thank me in the morning. Just... trust me on this one.
Oh, no.

Woe is the undustry!
Note that, as said in the article, the only "loss" is in the United States, and that's primarily due to the increased costs of extending the warranty plan.
Worldwide, the division is still well in the black.
And nevermind that, as stated above, 360 outsells PS3 worldwide. It's only Japan that matters. Heh.
Well for 360 it might not, but for two Japanese companies it does. And PS3 is being humiliated in its homeland.
And yes, PS2 and Wii are the only consoles really fully on target- showing everyone that what consumers really wanted this generation was ease of use and affordability.
A la Nintendo DS- the true king of home entertainment worldwide.
Target has game sales like this all the time.
You don't see people screaming when that happens.
And it's titles like FFXI and King Kong.
Come on.
I'm a die-hard Halo fan, but even I'll admit- there was not a single moment of Halo that was original. Seriously. You can find previous examples of... well.. everything...
It's just that the pieces came together so well. It's like a Mario game- you could make Super Mario all over again, with absolutely nothing original except redesigns of the levels, and it'd still be a blast to play.
'sall in the details, mang.

Yeah. This is the guy that made it all happen. (lol). This is like Microsoft trying to say Ballmer revolutionized the industry... technically, he...
What a relief!
Now they just have to repeat this for Krazy Kaz and Hilariously Insane Harrison.
(Hairy Harrison obviously doesn't work... Hilarious Harrison doesn't stick because he's not... hmmm....)
It's time for the Wii to prove its worth.
As feared, it's shaping up to be a gimmicky party console with basically Nintendo-only support. And the Wiimote, while cool, isn't flexible enough to meet the demands of multiplatform games. See also: Zelda for Gamecube getting equal or better reviews compared to the Wii version. Even Nintendo can't do much to convince people that Wii can compete.
And yes, I own a Wii. And since I'm not a 3d Zelda fan (give me Link to the Past, p...
