You know, it should be obvious this was fake. AMD CPU's would thermally throttle the chip before it would over heat.
The only thing this proved is that people who don't understand how the tech works and want to believe something simply will with out questioning it.
What are you talking about. All AMD (and Intel) CPU's would thermally throttle before it would damage the chip regardless of cooling.
The whole function of boost on CPU's is controlled by two factors voltage and heat. if either can't be supported the "boost" will either be limited or disabled.
What was described in the rumor is clearly false just based off the basics of how any CPU from the last 25 years works.
chiefJohn117,
It's not mostly PS3, and if your bringing up BC why is having PS3 games a bad thing? And again PSNow has over 400 PS4 games, that's almost twice as many games as gamepass offers total.
Value is subjective, for as low as $5 per month you get access to over 850 games and the option to stream them for free as well as not having to pay to play them online. Versus 200 games on gamepass no option for streaming and you still have to buy g...
Wrong.
First off xbox has a white list of games that are BC, so PlayStations BC which aims to have true BC and not a whitelist is already better.
Second PSNow has more downloadable PS4 games than PS3 games.
Third you clearly don't even know what games are on PSNow. Not only does it have 4 times as many games it has a much wider variety of genres and aside from Micrsofts own games the games on PSNow are just as "new" as g...
Well first off all I hear from xbox owners is how they bought a launch console then bought the X and many of them claimed to have bought the slim in between. That's two $500 consoles and a third for many people.
Now on PC many of us already have a PC that can do 4k gaming and instead of spending $500 on a console if needed we can just use that money to buy a new video card.
And the most basic thing for me s that a PC is a tool. It's a way to make ...
Actually Tim going into this gen they had this many studios they just chose to close them all down mid gen. And like this gen where most of them were making low budget shovelware for kinect it seems like next gen they are making low budget shovelware for gamepass.
It's not going to get released before countries open up international shipping.
I am reminded of Nero playing the fiddle while Rome burned around him.
Yes "Scalebound" is Microsoft's IP the work is Platinum's. Much like True Crimes was Activisions IP but Square Enix paid to continue the work United Front Games did and turned it into Sleeping Dogs.
No worries the work that was Scalebound became Gran Blue Fantasy Relink a PS4 exclusive.

There was never a second console, that was a rumor that was started on a forum and then the press went crazy. Phil said months ago there was only one console but people still keep repeating it over and over.
What are you talking about?
They made Knack 1 & 2 Gravity Rush 2 Astro Bot Rescue Mission and The PlayRoom + the VR expansion. That's more games than most developers put out in a generation, on top of all that they also helped publish 8 other games for PS4 5 games for Vita and 3 VR games since 2013.
It seems to me like they are putting in the work and earning their pay.
Do you really want to make profit margin your argument against Sony? Microsoft is charging $150+ for a pro controller that is being sold at well over $100 profit margin.
And the newer DS4's last around 10 hours and my launch DS4 still holds an 8 hour charge.
"We don't have any real details yet"
Credit Microsoft for trying something different, which I wish PlayStation would do more often.
How about Dreams, or Concrete Genie or Gravity Rush or AstroBot VR or Everybody Golf or Detroit and i could go on. I think PlayStation has offered far more variety than the games you listed.
2tf won't make bleeding edge a good game.
Streaming is the future right?
Let's stream <= 1Gb games at 16GB per hour instead of downloading them.
Consoles get bad ports all the time. Look at The Sims, I got it free on PS4 and it IMHO wasn't even playable compairedcto the PC version. Let's be honest here with the vast majority of games PC is the best version. People like to point out the few examples of bad ports to make it seem like that's the norm when it's actually the exception.
What are you even talking about? There is no reason they couldn't have just added a m.2 port.
And if you're talking about formatting. Again, there is no reason they couldn't format a m.2 nvme to whatever file system they want.
You're making excuses for a very corporate decision to overcharge for a proprietary expansion. And I'm getting the feeling you don't know much about PC hardware.
FinalFantasyFanatic,
Your cards weren't overheating, most chips have a thermal limit of around 90c Zen for example has a thermal limit of 95c and for RX chips the thermal throttle starts at approximately 70c (varies by manufacturer and can be manually altered with software). The crashing that is common especially on pre-Navi AMD cards was more or less due to lack of optimization in software because Nvidia had so much market share devs barely made any attempts to progr...
