Current PC graphics are fine for the next 10 or so years to me at least. I would rather more games focus on game play, length, and stories. This is coming from someone who just plopped down $2,000 into a PC. I feel we are at a point where graphics look enough like real life that we will not see a huge improvement after the 2011/2012 games for another decade.

Although since many games strive towards better graphics it would be a shame if publishers/developers continue to val...

It looks like thee are a few great maps.. It is sad to see though that a few of them will be tiny cramped "CoD" maps which is sad.

Dice should have just designed every map to be large and battlefield like for Conquest/Rush. Then they could shrink the map down to a certain area(like the small city maps) for TDM or smaller games. It just seems foolish to have around 1/3 of your maps being unrelated to BF3 game play when they could have expanded those maps outward to...

I recently added another 560ti partially due to this reason. I was going to get the game anyway and figured why not just get another 560ti for SLI since the game comes free with it?

$220 for a evga 560ti + Batman AC is a great offer.

Grifter you can still buy a game new months after a game release and get online passes with it.

So far so good! Looks like each map will be different and unique game play wise.

A bit misleading PC wise since a lot of people don't buy physical copies anymore. Out of all of the PC games I have I have 0 physical copies. No point in it since I have a 1tb drive, 500gb external back up, and don't want them to take up space.

Ps3/360 will easily outsell the PC version, but in the long run the PC version will put up great numbers. The game looked amazing running "maxed" out in the PC beta and it still has higher settings. Caspian Border ...

The regen isn't that helpful. It only kicks in after like 45-60 seconds and only if your vehicle doesn't have a key part damaged( like engine on fire). So the only time it will regen is if you only take a small bit of damage and escape.

Is this article serious?

I agree. People dismissed Vgchartz for years and now all of a sudden they deem them credible.

Just because the PC isn't the most important market doesn't mean you can release a horrible port that hardly works for many of your customers.

Snipers may be a bit annoying on Caspian Border so far(PC) since they hide out on a lot of the rocky ridges. But after getting that initial "oh god I just got sniped" it is pretty easy to locate where they are and flank them, and spotting them instantly tells your tanks, apc's, and jets to lay some fire down there.

I don't understand the complaint against snipers in BF3 since every time you(or at least I do) are aiming at someone you should spot them for you...

No LAN does not bother me, since I would never use it. It sucks for those who do, but they are vastly outnumbered by people who will never use LAN.

Nice to see SP won't require Battlelog although that doesn't bother me that much since people were saying you can't play SP without internet. Every time I have no internet I also have no power, so it would not matter anyway.

Actually, it isn't releasing for some time and they haven't even completed most of it yet. Dice is still working on the main game, so there would be no way to release this DLC on the disc unless they delay the game.

I'm not saying that BF3 is pushing the limits of consoles farther than every other game. But for those simply listing off games based on graphics they need to realize that the majority of games have static environments. BF3 on the other hand has tons of destruction.

Op metro map only shows off small scale destruction and it is still far past what many games do. You can't expect a game like BF3 to look better than other console games with what they are doing in other a...

Stress testing their servers, ironing out problems with battlelog, and balancing weapons/classes are the main points of this beta.

Im down to about 10 physical copies of games for my ps3. I used to have about 50+ but decided to sell them all since I had no need for them.

I always kept saying to myself,"Ohhh I will play that again someday so lets keep it." Wrong, just a waste of space for me so I decided to sell most of them.

Dice already said that they chose the map since the sole purpose of the Beta is to test server loads and the basic game play(guns, kit set ups, moving around). It's not like they were going to release every game mode and map for people to test publicly, since it would defeat the purpose of buying the game.

People need to realize that it is not BF3 that has been hacked, but rather the server files/battlelog allowing these people to create these servers.

For some reason the battlelog website is not encrypted(also Punkbuster is turned off in beta) which is somewhat odd. So it is not a huge surprise that this is occurring.

My theory is that at least for the Punkbuster part that it is better now to see what hackers are doing in the beta, and then fixing the loophole...

@ironcreed

The kind of tactical lights used by the military can actually temporarily disorient/blind you in daylight in close/mid ranges. Much like how BF3 is, since outside at long ranges it just shows up as a bright light.

It may hurt initial sales, but not the overall sales. Most gamers don't understand what a Beta is, it isn't a demo and you are surely going to run into bugs/glitches.

The 2 days of the closed beta were terrible for me, tons of bugs and the lag/disconnection problems were making the game basically unplayable. Guess what? Most of the problems I was running into(PC) are now non existent to me.

And as far as Caspian Border being better than Metro, hell ...
