Wow.... $90 for headphones that look like 9mm bullets and have glowing lights? What a rip off.
Sad thing is that people will buy these things just because it is tied to MW3.
Actually, if you were in the closed PC beta you would notice that the Ultra settings are the same as the High settings. My 560 ti's can run everything at max in the beta at 70+ fps outdoors and 90+ indoors. This won't be when the game goes retail since the 560ti is rated for Med/High settings.
Ram is so cheap currently why wouldn't you want them to put in 4gb at least? 8gb is $50 for consumers so 4gb would hardly even put a dent into the cost of a console.
If they plug in 2gb, or even 1gb(sorry but thats stupid) people would just complain that there isn't enough ram in 2 years.
All it needs(and next gen consoles) is 4gb of ram. That would be enough given that they don't need to run nearly as much as a PC(8gb is good for a gaming PC currently). Although MS has already somewhat confirmed Windows 8 for the next xbox which may lead to some issues if they only have 4gb of ram.
Aside from a few problems the game has been great for me so far. The lag is a bit bad since, A) Servers crash frequently, B) You sink into the map where you shouldn't, and C) you get shot through rocks/impenetrable walls.
For all we know the first day they limited the amount of servers, since at least on the PC side when I first got in this morning there were about 50 servers online. Tonight there is 200+ and a few lag problems are getting better.
As far...
Played a match so far in the beta, and with my two sli 560ti's running at 1080 resolution I can run every setting maxed out at 50-70fps.
Google it, 8am for the east coast in the US. Other times are posted also.
Only 20 more hours until I get to play the beta! Can't wait.
It's not that big of a deal... Just get a larger HDD or uninstall a game you are already finished with.
PC gamers install/download most of their games and it is not a problem, and in fact it actually makes games play better since they do not need to read a disc.
Their studio isn't large enough to make a ps3 version and they have never programmed for the ps3 before. If it sells well however they said they might look into making a ps3 version.
Or you could just buy it for the PC, it's not like it is only on a 360.
Just a few more days! Can't wait for the Beta on Tuesday.
You must have a pretty slow computer, or something is wrong. Installing games is quick with an actual copy. As far as steam goes it does take 30m-2h for most games but it isn't that hard to just play something else until it is done.
It isn't like a ps3/360 where if you are installing a game off of a disc you can't do much else with the machine.
It is when the games trying to mature Kinect suck.
Wish more games were lead platform on PC and then ported(good ports though) to consoles, since you should start with the best hardware and then work your way down cutting things until it works on lesser hardware.
Can't wait for the BF3 beta. Recently built a PC(and even added more today), 2 SLI 560ti, 8gb Ram, Intel Core i5-2500K 3.7ghz.
Awesome deals. If anyone doesn't have The Witcher 2 you should use this opportunity to get an excellent game for cheap.
Why would you pass on the PC game if you want BF3? It is the best version, you'd be better off getting it on a console later if you want to wait for a cheap version.
Considering Microsoft is already showing/confirmed they are releasing Windows 8 on the next xbox and that Sony has stated they are looking to release their next playstation as a machine that isn't a huge leap ahead as it was from ps2-ps3. We could see both of them drop in 2013 since they must have been developing them for years.
The next huge leap in GPU's(new nvidia cards) will happen next year, and thus will drastically reduce the prices in today's top graphics...
I doubt it will be avatar like. Generally you know what graphics will look like on consoles a year ahead of time since PC's are a step ahead. Right now PC's have great graphics(Witcher 2 and Bf3 for example) however they are not Avatar-like yet.
Nvidia is launching new cards next year that are a huge step ahead of current cards. So we will have to wait until they arrive to see a sneak peak of what we are in for.
The hardware in the Wii U that was shown is barely better than what the ps3/360 has right now. So it is safe to say that if they release in 2013 they will be safe hardware wise.
Great game made even better by a huge *free* update? Count me in, I have been waiting for my 2nd run at the game to go down Roche's path.
If you have a decent PC do yourself a favor and get this game.
