Xbox 360 was battling PS2?
The 2.40 update pretty much failed if Sony have had to fix it three times since release. Please don't let it be.
By the way, I didn't have ANY problems with the original 2.4 software but apparently other people did and some still are if a 2.43 is on the way. :\
Going PS3 on this one for sure. I love my 360 but even I know the DVD limitations would eventually become an issue. Any game that has to be severely compressed to fit onto one disc or split between multiples is just fail, I'm sorry. I remember having Gran Turismo 2 back in the day and hated how it was on two discs, so I only played the Simulation one. Thank god the DVD changed that for GT3 or I might not have even bothered getting a PS2 for it. but now the DVD is old tech and you think about ...
they're actually totally different games. in GTA IV you're a criminal who has to kill to get by and won't let anyone stand in his way. This here with infamous looks like you're a superhero and....I don't know much more but to me it looks a whole lot like Crackdown rather than GTA.
It's never coming to 360. And honestly, if it did, it would be cut down so much it wouldn't even be worth playing. You get the FULL experience, they way it was meant to be, on PS3. A 360 port would slaughter this masterpiece of a game. No, this is too good be just a simple game, it's a cinematic and videogaming experience you won't soon forget.
This whole "MGS4 to 360??????????" needs to die. It got old like two years ago.

Anyway, huge fan of both GT and Forza and I'm uber excited about this news. If a team aren't trying to push the console to the max, they're simply not trying. Remember the days when GTA III apparently "maxed" the PS2's ability? Other devs found ways to get even MORE out of the system. People please, don't by ANY means think this is 2.4. You will only be letting yourselves down. There's absolutely no proof that I've seen. No PS Blog post, no "insiders" leaking info, no nothing. It will be shown at PS Blog first, then demonstrated at E3, and released after that event is over.

This is shaping up to be quite the battle. I've been playing GT since it first came out on PS1. Furthermore, I've been a fan of Forza since its first edition on Xbox. Both are great series. The Xbox was dropped because of a lawsuit with Nvidia that ended up with them splitting from MS with the project and taking its GPU with them. No more Nvidia graphics card, no more Xbox.
Things will be different with 360, it's simply much too established to just outright abandon and sales will continue for years after the "720" comes out, both software and hardware-wise. Think of it as this gen's PS2.

And will never change. For this particular version, I've been using it since early beta stage, when it was called Gran Paradiso. I am now on RC3 and have watched it slowly develop as things get added/fixed. I am sure FF3 will be the best overall browser out there.
The best game I've ever played, hands down. From front to back, it was just incredible. People really have no reason to bash MGS4 whatsoever. Yes, it starts off slow, but you have to get into it and really follow the story to get what's going on.
