GT5 will be a HUGE game. Hundreds of cars with full interiors, tons of tracks, and maybe a full-on realistic damage and weather system. There's so much going on in this game that Christmas 09 sounds like wishful thinking.
My guess, spring/summer 2010. It just seems right. Until then, I await updates to Prologue.
Alongside KZ2. That way I don't miss out on all the fun.
I thought Gears 2 smashed R2 into the ground when it came to the story, AI, and co-op fun. I also give it the graphical edge.
R2 was better online but the co-op was weird with the 4:3 aspect ratio.
I played through R2 first, beat it, and got Gears 2 a couple weeks later. Best decision I've made in a while as Gears 2 was insanely fun on split-screen co-op.
I don't have to put up with this anymore. I started this gen by playing on a 5 year old Phillips 60" 1080i CRT. I was so disappointed by the non-existent support of 1080i that after a year and a half, I went out and bought a 40" Sony Bravia 1080p LCD. Makes a world of difference knowing I can play in the *proper* progressive scan in 720p and 1080p and that it's not 1080i or bust.

I admit I like achievements more than trophies. I like it's all numerical and not just bronze, silver, gold etc. MS did get that part right with the Xbox 360. Now if only they can work on longer-lasting hardware :P
Also it's good to see Sony enforcing standard trophies in 2009. If they implement a trophy hall in Home, maybe they won't be as useless as most people think they are now.

In all seriousness though, what a a-holish move by MS. They just assume he cheated without doing research. Just so you know, it IS possible to get that much score WITHOUT cheating, it just takes a very long time and a lot of sill to do it. This particular guy sounds legit to me and if he "worked" this hard to get his score and to have it erased...I would gripe to MS nonstop to try and get this fixed. I don't know if he would be ...
Blu-ray has 50GB of space and DVD9 has like 7.5 gigs. Games get bigger every generation.
Now if this game exceeds 15GB total, I think the majority of 360 owners wouldn't even be able to install to the drive (to eliminate disc-swapping) because of the 20GB limit. You would need the 120 or newly released 60GB drive to do that.
Or just get the game on PS3 if you have the option.
But I can't connect to the servers, really disappointed with this.
A LONG TIME AGO. Waiting until Feb is just really dumb as more and more people are moving on to other games. I know I recently started playing the PS3 version again for trophies but I am getting Gears 2 today and that will be that for a while. This would be great news if the DLC was coming by the end of the year once the initial hype of some games dies down. But instead it looks like MS will want to use this to compete with Killzone 2 in which case, they will get slaughtered.
After all these years, still the best NFS game of the series. With Undercover, I might, MIGHT rent this but am holding it off as long as possible.
Well seeing as I went months without playing 360 and letting my Gold subscription collapse, I just wanted to see what the hype was about. The update didn't really interest me that much but when it got leaked I figured I'd give it a try.
Now that I'm getting Gears 2 in a couple days I'll get Gold again as soon as it lets me. Right now it says there's an update available but since I can't sign into Live the update fails.
Guess I'll update when everyone else does lol....

Downloadable games only feel right if they're small or arcade types. As for full-on retail titles, I couldn't bear to have them without the box.
of the people who was VERY excited to see what would become of the Getaway 3 and of course, Eight Days. The news of their cancellation was quite terrible. I remember seeing those first TG3 screens before the PS3 was introduced in 2005 and it was awesome how good they looked. Imagine that game with even better graphics, and even Eight Days which also looked slick.

I really wish I could have made it into the beta, I tried so hard but having to work meant I missed out on 90% of the giveaways. And when I did get a chance, my connection would fail due to site traffic. I was screwed in every way possible.
Because let me tell you, in 2007 I was a massive 360 fanboy and wanted PS3 to fail and thought nothing could stop Xbox's momentum. I used all the usual 360 fanboy rants (multiplat games better on 360, more games period, nothing good on PS3, Live being best ever etc etc.). Yet even when I bought one of the last 60GB PS3s late in 07, I never played it because my fanboyism for 360 was so strong.
2008 changed all of that. Blu-ray winning the "format war", DualShock 3 contro...
I'm very interested in this game. I didn't get into the beta, and because of that, my interest slowly dwindled until it became "I'll get it some day". I wanted into the beta so bad to see if I would like this game, but was shut down day after day. Now I'm holding out until I either get an excess of money or maybe a demo of the game.
