how most of the mature gamers (not fanboys) see this as a tragic event, whereas someone like Dread thinks he's won the nobel prize by "turning tables" and having some epiphany and revealing it.-- News flash: Mature people don't get involved in fanboyism, and they can recognize when something horrible like 15,000 pink slips is a BAD thing. This goes above your stupid console war, take a day off from trolling for once.
nobody's really arguing that PS3 is NOT in third as far as install base goes (yes, it is, we get it, more 360's have been sold so far). Nobody's really denying MS had a good month in Nov (yes we get it, they cut prices and they sold very well). It's the whackjob-nutcases who stalk the articles here who take those 2 facts and ignore the plethora of others. And the fools like Agent and POG and Crab and Jason360 are just as irrational as those idiots at a bar who drone on about how a pro athlete...
then. What IS taking place? You said it yourself, opinions based on facts. Once opinions are brought in, you can't argue that your opinion is superior. Trolling around in threads that have nothing to do with your console or interest is the easiest thing to comprehend. For someone who worships their console as if it was the second coming, you spend a great deal of time away from it talking about other consoles. Why is that?
"popular opinion" does not constitute the voices in your head and your Live friends, pull your head from the sand.
Nathan Drake, that IS the saddest comment, albeit, the most humorous comment, of the entire year. Beyond laughable, and past depressing, I have no clue how to describe that statement by them. Holy balls. That author is a moron, and needs to pull his head from his rear, because he hasn't double checked his reasoning on why "the iPhone is owning the PSP". He complains about the analog nub when the real gamers are anticipating a second, and if he loves his iPhone, great, but comparing ...
is all the articles I saw headlines for lately when I'd stop by for a few seconds, focus on ONE month of sales, and neglect the big picture. How can one debate about such miniscule information and ignore the big picture? One can't, that's why they're trolls and fanboys.
Nothing of merit was presented in the article. The guy presented some slanted, overly minute, meaningless numbers, and put on a charade that he knows something about the game industry.
because of people like Crab, and sadly, people like Crab are still here. Crabs, I thought science had a cure? Guess not. Be careful everyone....
The Wii's technology is not 8 years old, I hope you're not one of the ones who thinks it's a Gamecube with a pretty new case, because, no, it's not anything like a PS3 or 360, but it's also a fair bit away from the the original Gamecube and xbox....you want to bash on it's graphics, look to the developers and the proponents of all that shovelware, not the tech. The tech is closer to a Gamecube 1.5, but I get your point, sort of...
Maddens and Sevir, I have no clue where "intelligence" even entered Leon's post, so I'm not sure why he has the authority to state whose side it would be on.
Wow Leon, just wow, I live in Illinois too, and still, just wow, you don't research much, do you....

On point...I think an article like the one we're in could have easily been written 10 months ago. That is all.
I'm always confused when I read crap like this, this is a generalized "economic analyst" writing an article, and he knows very little about the games industry, his lack of any substantial knowledge is plastered all over the article, which I just read all the way through (sadly)...The author is clueless on technology, it's blatantly apparent, and frankly, obnoxious, because it was difficult to read without shaking my head and rolling my eyes. The author didn't portray any of the cons...
The console shouldn't break in the first place, why so forgiving? What happens after 3 years? What happened to the idea of a "lifelong purchase"? You only buy a product with a lifespan of 3 years? It shouldn't come to the point of giving up your system for a matter of weeks every few months because it's faulty, not that that happens to all, but it can to many, and that's the point. And as far as other defaults, disc scratching, etc...why chance it yet again, why spend the time worry...
get over the fact that PS3 owners have a few games they like and 360 owners have a few they like, you don't see me whining about how Gears 2 is "the second coming of Christ because you guys sleep with the game case" or any such BS, why are you so irrational? Why are you even on a thread about a game you hate for a system you can't stand? Go back under your bridge, troll.
not news to me, part of the issue is the timing/economy, the other is that as far as my region/area of the world is concerned, I never ONCE saw this game advertised outside ONE magazine ad I saw for it. It wasn't on Mountain Dew cans or plastered on every visible surface, go figure....and as a result, my throat feels better, nothing was shoved down it from a company. I know of the game and am probably getting it for Christmas, it'll be a slow uptake but it will sell.
And to add,...
What crown? Under who's authority to hand out such a crown. Everytime (no sarcasm, I mean this), EVERYTIME, I read a fanboy's drivel, it's some spattering of bias based on..... I have no clue, rumors or opinions, I can't make it out. Where do you lemmings get this stuff? The beta for KZ2 is out, people seem to love it, Uncharted looks phenomenal, and you are still wearing those glasses shaped like a tunnel. Wow.
stereotyping of Americans. I don't get hand-fed the media's crap, because frankly, I don't even read or watch much of it, I don't trust them, and I also don't think very highly of M$.....
And fanboys like Jason and Breakfast need to stop presenting their naive opinions as facts. Trounced by competition? Where, according to who? Within your inner-moron-circle of PS3 haters who talk late into the night about how bad Sony is "failing"? Put your hard-on for MS away and get ...
fanboy drones. Keep it up, the average intelligence-caliber human beings need myopic, thought-voided, idiots like you who disagree for the sake of not liking the truth at hand. Good gawd.
Man up if you can prove me wrong. If not, enjoy your pathetic, phantom-laden usage of this site and all the factual contributions that make you shake in anger. Oops, too many syllables...
the people who throw out the so-called "Facts" about Sony and the PS3 being a "piece of sh*t and a failed console" are naive and diluted and they are doing a decent job at spinning numbers. They drone on about what THEY like about 360, which is fine, but their problem is they present this droning as a factual readoff, as if it should be printed on the side of the damn box (probably next to the failure rate)....My point is they say crap like "360 has the best games&quo...
awesome, but even though this article was quite unbiased, it was NOT void of bias. This report speaks as though the last 2 years Sony's bordered on bankruptcy and failure, and the only place I see that drivel is out of fanboys, which this author denies himself of being. With the reports I keep seeing, per day since release, the PS3 has sold, _worldwide_, more units than the 360 last time I saw all the calculations. What I mean is that since the PS3 was released, the basic math shows it's sold...
Very well made point once again. And to happyface, your 'crime' is worse, at least he's a PS3 gamer who is happy to speak about HIS console positively, and he makes good points on spinning numbers. You, on the other hand, seem to be a 360 gamer who's posting in a news story about a console you have "no interest" in, so....who's more "at fault" there, slick? Yeah, thought so.
