regular "gaming news" in the light that the incessant blame for games and media is annoying and narrowminded. Games and media are constantly the scapegoats in "mainstream media" when a tragedy like this happens, so in a big sense, it IS about games, this touches on gaming and media in a big way. It shouldn't be about games, because it's not the 360's fault, but much of the world sees it as being about games, and we can't escape that.
Mirror's Edge needs to be bigger, badder and more badass.
(sarcasm, the demo is beyond sweet)
I'd like to correlate an anology. Should that "addiction" or problem been with sports, and his parents took away his footballs, and the same thing happened, would we all be blaming sports and athletes? Think about it.
but I'll add this: addiction doesn't have to be to a substance, study a little psychology, it's chemically involved. You can be addicted to biting your nails, donuts, exercise, watching a tv show, sex, drugs, and yes, video games. It doesn't have to enter your system to enact. It's mental.
But that is not to blame the "addiction" (if this was a case of it, either way), that is to blame the situation or kid or parents, more so than any stimuli in their lives. If he had...
I went to my first gastroenterologist specialist's office in June at Rush University, that bill alone, for ONE appointment (an office visit because my old GI doc couldn't treat me anymore), was more than you can get a PS3 and a game for right now. They billed that appointment $495 dollars. Money doesn't stretch, it rips.
I can look to my game collection for my laptop and see Gears 1 sitting between Orange Box and Company of Heroes, and that wasn't supposed to exist according to the same thing they said a couple years ago. I'm not saying it WILL come to PC, but I can't trust what they will say either way, it's marketing.
a matter of hard work=lots of money. Yes, most of the time, it does. I'm an exception, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I have severe Crohns disease, and my life came tumbling around me in pieces, I can't even work and I'm disability until they can figure out how to treat me. I'm not looking for pity, so don't go there, I'm pointing out that when someone loses their income and they have an expertise and good capacity to earn, it's not always "stupid lazy people" that should exit y...
why do people always use ratings to say that games were better? That's ignorant. Metacritic this, metacritic that, again, ignorant, means nothing.
because you're trying to discredit some fanboys (which I still feel you're one of). I have my opinion, you have yours, but you're trying to pass off your opinion on the PS3 and its exclusives as facts. You were let down, so now suddenly your let down is the final verdict of the PS3? Why listen to the Sony fanboys, I have a PS3, but I can't stand them as badly as the hate mongers I see ripping on Sony. Can all the greats be done on the 360 like MGS4 (which by the way, I have no idea how you go...
my opinion compares to the reviewer's opinion, I have GI, but haven't read this yet. I must state though, on the 2 weapon carrying aspect, that it is intended for realism. I liked the wheel in R1 though. But, everybody applauded Call of Duty 2 (yes 2) when it came out for it's exceptionalism a few years ago....you could only carry 2 at a time when it came to weapons, this is a common characteristic in realistic shooters these days, so that is my GUESS as to possibly why Insomniac would do tha...
what you have is a misconception of what it is in this case. You were flame-baiting (only 360 trolls would find your comment funny, are you saying you're one?), and insulting something I don't see you have a grasp of. There's humor, then there's trolling, you can mix the two, but at that point, you're only catering to the fanboys. I'd hope you're above that.
(I love all gaming), but wasn't Halo 3 originally going to be on the first xbox? (I could be wrong, I'm honestly asking, if I'm wrong, then it was Halo 2 that was intended to be on 360, I forget, but it was supposed to be one of those I thought).
I'd like you to repost that comment, but this time with an ounce of truth at least once, placed somewhere along the drivel. You are so hate filled towards the PS3 and I have no clue what you're talking about. Clearly you've got some massive misconceptions. A fanboy is a fanboy, and I roll my eyes at one from either "camp" but where are you getting these ideas from? You're trying to argue your opinion is superior to ANOTHER OPINION.
disagreed with you, apparently he's the only one with global sales data on a game that isn't out worldwide yet. Lemmings around here are laughable.
is confirmed to be a better car than a BMW, clearly it sold more.
Do you catch the point there? I'm not saying one game is superior or not, I'm trying to help you see through marketing BS and realize that a game stands on its own quality, not how many it sold (due to install base, advertising, etc.. these factors are null and void when quantifying a games quality, as are reviews by biased sites)
when you put your fingers on the keyboard
Resistance is only a grahpics showcase, look into the game more than screen shots. That's like saying a Porsche is only in it to look fast.
did you just state the quandry of MS not having enough money to do something? Ummmmm.......
are remember Timesplitters anything, as being "easy" they didnt' try the challenges, they played through the story mode in 5 hours on normal without dying once, played a few multiplayer rounds over the months, and got bored, and now have a recollection of an easy game. The 100% is not an easy feat, and I would know, from TS3 at least, haven't gotten to #2 yet...
Brandon Crisp now that he's dead from possibly an abduction, this "joke" is too far IMO.....and learn about the voting age and some statistics in America, FCC, before typing things like that.
The real interview may be news, this misquote and homophobic drivel is just stupid. I can see why some of you laugh, but I don't find it funny, and I'm the kind of guy who laughed his azz off at Superbad and Knocked Up. Don't really see the humor here.
