That's a good question. The reason I got both consoles this gen was so that I didn't miss out on the exclusives. How much a factor that will be next-gen will be a huge persuasive factor for me.

Could you elaborate on 'improved controllers'. Personally, I play mostly on PS3 (about 80% in fact) but still prefer the Xbox controller. Just feels more comfortable, and I like the triggers.
What would you have improved on Sony's controllers?

Agreed. I give it a maximum of 6 months before the second manufacturer releases their console in response.
I'm pretty sure that both consoles would be 95% ready, and just waiting for the right time to release.
The other thing to consider is the hype factor. The company releasing second, needs some time to generate pre-release hype. 6 months enough? Debatable, but neither of the companies would wnat to give the other company to much of a head start next-g...

As far as I recall, Crackdown came out long before either Prototype or Infamous.
And Saints Row never claimed to not be a clone of GTA. They just take take on a more slap-stick approach to their version of open-world.

Can't argue with that. It is very easy killing guards in this game, and if it were any other game I would have probably given up on it a long time ago
However, what drives me through the game is the cool platforming sequences in some of the side missions (and main), the truth puzzles, the lairs/dens. And of course, the story.
So while I agree that the combat is pretty basic, there's a whole lot more to this game.

Yup, can't wait. Have to admit though, the graphics don't seem that much improved. Guess we'll have to wait till AC3 comes out for an engine upgrade.
