Didn't she get exorcised or something?
POES
Cazzo :)
Does anyone have an idea how many reviews are still outstanding that are taken into account at Metacritic?
Confirmed at 0:24 - water is flammable
@Papertiger Lol, at the end of the day, regardless of who wins that prize, Gamers win the greatest prize of all.
Oh dear... did I really say that? So corny, I am going to die
I am so happy about the reviewers noting the improved puzzle aspects of U3.
The only gripe I've had with Uncharted series, is that the puzzles were too easy. I mean they literally told you what to do.
Looks like they've addressed that little problem.
One more - Portal 2 (9.5)
I pity the GOTY selection panel
Yes, they do deserve accolades. But I feel that this year Rocksteady is more deserving. Arkham City is to Asylum what U2 was to U1.
I'm going to be loving the hell out of both these games as soon as I'm done with exams
I thought it was an excellent review. And considering that the site uses a 5-point scale, the score seems appropriate to the way he reviewed the game.
I hate seeing reviews where it's nothing but praise and then the score is an 8, or where the reviewer points out several flaws and proceeds to award the game a 10
This seemed fair.
^ Yes he did say that, and I recall that we are all still waiting for him to post pics as proof.
1 bub, AHOY!
Agreed. People are too quick to look only at the score without bothering to read the actual review.
From the reviews I've read so far, this is the only one where the reviewer doesn't seem to be gushing over the game, and takes a professional approach at reviewing it.
IGN's review came across as a teenager writing a biop on the homecoming queen :)
One of the commenters on Eurogamer had this to say:
'As good as Gears of war 3, Red Dead Redemption and Metal Gear Solid 4? This game must be absolutely amazing! November 2nd can't come quick enough.'
If this is correct then that means the Eurogamer gave an 8/10 to two games that went on to win Game of the Year :P
Personally, I don't have a problem with the score. The review itself was filled with praise, the writer's main...
YES...WE...CAN :P
Competitive MP Is an attribute for game of the year?
Since when? This year GOTY is between Arkham City, Skyrim, Portal 2 and Uncharted 3, only one of which has competitive MP.
Yeah, it's great to see a game with virtually no online component do well.
To all the disagrees - I was referring to Eight Days, the cancelled IP from Sony
Is there a site somewhere, where jokes don't have to be continuously explained?
Don't be a knob
For me, the whole period from around June 2009 to date has been the greatest gaming period of my life. And I still have to play Arkham City, Dark Souls, Uncharted 3, Skyrim, Gears of War 3, Assassin's Creed Revelations.
Those games alone will probably take me through to March 2012 - and then Bioshock: Infinite, Mass Effect 3, Darksiders 2, Max Payne 3.
