goodbye 10-31-11 11-1-11
No Catwoman for you
Game of the Year!
Yup, as if I needed any other reason to get the game :) I like the sound of the Riddler puzzles. It sounds like these puzzles will do for Batman what the Truth puzzles did for Assassin's Creed 2 and Brotherhood.
Does this game take place over 1 night like in Asylum? I wonder how they would go about doing a batman game taking place over several days. Maybe they would let us play as Bruce Wayne.
Simply can't wait...but i must
I remember reading that Arkham City campaign is around 25 hours?
So Catwoman accounts for 2,5 hours of the playthrough. Quite significant
Technically, neither is legal. By trading second hand copies, retailers are making a profit on the sale of another's IP, without any license authorising them to do. The agreement between retailers and publishers is that retailers are allowed a certain mark-up on brand new sales.
By allowing the sale of second hand items, retailers are illegally profiting of the publisher's property.
It's sort of like the situation where someone makes, for exampl...
My Grandma's Horse sounds like it could be pretty epic
Does anyone think there's any difference between downloading a pirate copy of the game and buying a second hand copy?
What a terrible idea
That PS3 controller looks suspiciously like a 360 controller.
Hmmmm...
Agreed, split-screen modes should be the norm
Funnily enough, in 2009 at the VGAs it was nominated alongside Uncharted 2 for both Game of the Year, and best Action Adventure Game of the year. Of course it lost to Uncharted in the GOTY category but somehow won the Action Adventure Category!
Unbelievable I know, but truth is stranger than fiction, I guess.
I would agree with you and also add Assassin's Creed Revelations to that list. And Dead Space 2
Haha :)
Still... it doesn't make sense
It reads: 'this game would be the Game of all Time"
Maybe he meant G.G.O.A.T??
I'm with both of you guys on this one. Whole year round the two games I was looking forward to most was Uncharted 3 and AC:R.
I played Arkham Asylum and loved the hell out of it, but I did not expect Arkham City to be as awesome as it's seeming to be
2009 was my favourite year of gaming. I played Infamous, Arkham Asylum, Uncharted 2 and Assassin's Creed 2 one after the other, and then Dante's Inferno, Darksiders, Alan Wake and God of War 3 ea...
Dude, if you want to restrict yourself, by all means, go ahead.
Haha I laughed when he tells her about the game-saving feature. You can hear how proud he sounds about two characters sitting on a couch to save a game - and all she says is 'Ok' :)
Give up, my man. You either like gaming, or you don't.
Too true. So many brilliant games coming out within the next 2 months or so. And there's still Bioshock Infinite, Max Payne 3, Darksiders 2, Hitman Absolution, Tomb Raider and Mass Effect 3 coming out early next year.
It's just a great time to be a gamer
GOTY of the year for sure.
Yeah, that's the way I look at it as well. But regardless, the amount of great scores this game is getting makes it unmissable. What a fantastic holiday season this is turning out to be.
Now all I need is Dante's Inferno 2 to be announced for Mid 2012 and my life will be complete
