To interject here on my own submission and in agreement with the author because some people just don't get it. I had a blast playing RE 7 on Playstation VR 1 with gamepad and shit myself. Was a genuinely harrowing experience for me until you get overloaded with weapons and ammo.
Yeh there must be a way for this somehow. Or at least someone has to think of a way. Much in the way modders are trying to get PSVR 2 working on PC.
These feelings hark back to the Evil Dead movie (Bruce Campbell) where you make best of a bad scenario. A few jokes or killer lines goes a long way to help keep morale up. Groovy!
You could probably recreate what they do in the movie by having a real person stand still with the game model placed over them. If somehow you could enable hand tracking and controllers at the same time, then the other person could possess the character holding the controllers, with the main player using hand tracking to touch, hold, squeeze etc. Spookily cool if possible.
An 8 for SM2.
Try actually visiting the link there are two vids.
Nah, that passthrough quality needs to improve by at least 200% alongside a lower price point, before it can be deemed ready for "mainstream". All these new VR headsets this year are priced for the niche enthusiast's market.

No do not. The video in question only gag is that there would be constant loading everywhere.
You do realize that there are way more enemies here and two bosses and a ton of loot. You're not stealthing all of that. Good luck trying.
Or forced Ironman modes.
I am a big fan of realism in the sense you cannot carry infinite items, ammo and weapons. You have to make gameplay choices to ditch a weapon for another, or if you run out of ammo have to find something else to use. Not the nonsense you might see in Cyberpunk 2077 for example!!!
You cannot get any worse than killing someone. No ifs or buts. There's no coming back from that. Rape on the other hand, a victim can live on, get over it even and rebuild to have a happy life. The dead person can't ever do that. There is no argument then really and therefore you are twisted rather than hypocritical if you accept killing over letting someone live regardless of what you put them through.
On the flip side we are talking about video games which traditi...
"I'm all for dismemberment and gore but rape..."
Fuck sake, that is totally messed-up and the reason why we are here with this nonsense attitude towards anything sexual in games. Attempted rape scene in Tomb Raider 2012 game, which some outlets got all pissy about but none gave a crap about the many gruesome death scenes.
If a game is clearly marked as having extreme content, then all cards should be on the table (aside from any underage no...
There already is in Photo Mode and when riding motorcycles.
I am stealth/netrunner build who doesn't kill if possible and the opening of PL forces you into combat which I hate with a passion. Luckily once the mini prologue is over I am really loving the stealth now. Great verticality as well. The fact you cannot hide knocked out enemies means the stealth is far more fun. Good update which makes it feel completely different to the main game.
Wouldn't get too excited for 2.1 they might be saying "Remember that these are just the highlights, so stay tuned for more details!" but if there was anything notable they would have said already. Seems like a basic fixer update to me.
Didn't they say 2.0 and Phantom Liberty were the final major updates for this game as they shift onto the sequel?
Quite amazing how in late 90s those pre-rendered static backgrounds were like the bees knees. I am wondering what a game would look like today if it used the same pre-rendered backgrounds. Are we looking at photo-realistic environments or is there no need when you have games like UNRECORD using UE5?
Arkane obviously want and need a redemption of credibility, even if they game does not garner mass appeal after all these updates. As long as there are a few people singing its praises. Job done!
