If they have the deep, layered multiplayer that MW has with upgradeable weapons etc etc, then I'm sold. I love the Battlefield series
Regardless of the graphics living up to the hype this guy's trying to make, I still think this game will be good.
True that- for instance in Uncharted 2 single player I haven never seen one low res texture, and everything that needs it has bump mapping. It's like Gran Turismo 5 in the respect that, at a glance, it looks nearly real.
Uncharted 2 set the bar so high it really is a technical masterpiece. I'm glad though dev's are pushing their games further to meet and exceed this standard- because I'm a total graphics wh*re.
You rolled yourself by not knowing what an editorial is as opposed to an article. Go back to school.
EDIT: reading more comments it seems not many know what an editorial is
Pfft desperate? How?
I think they're putting too much hype and promise into Natal. I think it'll be like the Wii, full of shovelware novelty that won't appeal to me as a gamer.
Gamer luv, your exactly the point of the article.
You forgot ODST also, that got rave reviews and near perfect scores. It was merely a sub par Johnny come lately add on to the most overrated game on that list. Halo is done to death.
Disagree with you on Fallout 3- I bought it in 08 having not read a review and knowing nothing about it except the clerk reccommending it- I was blown away. I never found any 'game destroying' glitches in it, and I sunk hours into it and loved every minute. The only glitch it did have I found was sometimes dead bodies of baddies you killed flew all over the place, but it never affected the gameplay and happened rarely.
I am aware the DLC had issues on 360- not so much when it cam...
I woulda said NBA2k10 instead of Modern Warfare (although its not a cyberpunk shooter). IGN gave it an 8.5- but it was nearly unplayable months into its release cos there were so many bugs and glitches, online modes still don't work and the game is still stuffed even after a lone, albeit extensive patch.
Alas, none of that was mentioned in the review- all they said was there as some 'occasional slowdown'.
EDIT: Game review sites don't get a bad enough wrap for givin...
Why do you guys arguing about PCs even care? Every game looks better on a high end PC and everyone already knows it- the hardware is constantly developing. A console has the same hardware for 10 years, its not even worth arguing over.
Console and PC gaming are in entirely different leagues- the point of comparison should be other consoles.
I play this game almost daily as I'm a huge ball fan and always been a fan of the NBA2k franchise- and I'll say this:
This game is glitch city. Before the first patch it was unplayable. Since it's been ok- but if you play full 12 minute quarters (48 minute games) like I do (in Association mode) you'll notice the sheer amount of issues that still plague 2k10 and make it the worse iteration in the franchise so far.
The game is still fun, I won't lie- but when some of t...
I think that's premature seeing the game is still in BETA stage and not even on full release.
Woop dee doo, this is what a BETA is for, iron out the chinks.
I'll only buy this game if it's better online than Modern Warfare 2 (which to me is the best online game- with the possible exceptions of KZ2 and Uncharted 2- on Playstation)?
This article is comparing an opinion that Kojima held 2 years ago to one a Naughty Dog dev (who have just made the best looking console game ever made to date) holds today?
I'm sure Kojima's opinion would have changed already seeing the slew of titles that graphically/technically outdid MGS4 in '09. Games always get better looking/performing on any console, no matter what a dev says when their game comes out. Besides, Kojima stated he's going back to the PS3 after Peace Walker, I...
Good call on the improvements. While I loved fallout 3, if you didn't use VATS, the combat sucked. Also, the characters moved like stiff boards and just glided across the ground.
It'd be good to see polish in those presentation issues. I can see vehicles being a nuisance to drive how it currently is.
a reason a game like Pure might sell so well is I know that alot of retailers throw it in with the console-
here i've seen advertised the last few months retailers chucking pure and the first assassin's creed in as a bundle deal for both 360 and PS3
I was surprised by Uncharted 2's numbers; I heard it wasn't selling well at all but 2.5 million copies and counting seems pretty good methinks, considering it's been like 2 months or so since it came out.
software sales are the one's that matter- sony and MS both sell their consoles at a loss.
if there's a 4th forza already in the works i'll be really peeved. as it is the 3rd is not much more than Forza 2 but with new cars.
my hunch is DLC support.
good luck capcom. played the demo- bad graphics, worse gameplay.
