Yeah I got PS3 it runs fine. Frame rate does slow down a bit though.
I've got it on PS3 and only on PS3 and haven't played the Xbox version or seen it except in screen and direct feed comparisons.
But I will say this:
The framerate issues on the PS3 are the biggest annoyance to me. I'll go to the saloon at aramadillo and the frame rate goes to the dogs for like 3-4 seconds.

This game is quite glitchy.
I was playing the Poker in Armadillo last night, and the textures on my opponents character just wouldn't load- so I was looking at these ugly, blank canvasses.

I'm getting this on PS3 but I'm disappointed in this particular comparison.
When all's said and done though- I think GTAIV looks great on PS3, its still a game I regualarly play, so I aint worried RDR will look crap, because face it- it will be better than GTAIV which for an open world game is the beez kneez

why the hell couldn't they do a good port? the consoles aren't exactly brand new now and they should have learnt their lessons with GTAIV

360 didn't have such a deal because they don't manufacture televisions.
But there are similar deals running or that have run with the 360 whereby you get one for signing up to a phone contract, for example.
The fact is these 'giveaways' aren't giveaways at all. You pay an inflated price for the TV that actually factors in alot of the cost of the Playstation. You'll notice, like I did after doing this with the first Bravia 'giveawa...

GTAIV and RDR use essentially the same engine- though RDR is a better/optimised version. On PS3 the resolution of GTAIV was 640 or something wasn't it?
If this is indeed true- I think its pretty ridiculous this late into the cycle that they can't make identical ports by now.

When analysts say there'll be no exclusive games down the track they are obviously not counting studios like Guerilla, Naughty Dog, Sucker Punch, Polyphony Digital, Santa Monica Studios etc. that are owned by Sony, as well as those owned by MS?
So where along the line are we going to see exclusives stop coming?
I've got 20 PS3 games... soon to be 21 with Red Dead... Most I bought in the last 12 months. I think alot of it is the much improved software line up from Sony which has just made it into my preferred console.
