I cant imagine they were very productive.
I'm a lawyer and pull probably one or two 12 hour days a month, and I can tell you I'm much more productive on a standard 9-5 or at least 9 to 6 day than I am doing one of those long days.
I agree with your review. I'm really enjoying this game, I just made it to floodtwn.
Regarding the Wii 2, it's the same business model as the Wii, which proved successful. They're releasing essentially old hardware (with another gimmicky control) and will sell it most likely at a much more competitive price than a full blown new console with new tech.
The Wii was just essentially a Gamecube in a new case and with motion control. This will be a HD console on par with the current HD gen, with a tablet. Nintendo has realised they don't need to break...
This is amazingly poor.
Is this for real?
I think BF3 will be good, but this is just DICE suffering form their own hype. All the attention this is getting from psychos whose lives are turned upside because BF3 isn't the second coming spawned from hype machine overdrive that DICE laid on thick months ago.
Im not saying MW2 was the smoothest experience but compared to Black Ops its was silk and sandpaper.
Activision are PS3 punks, they screw us over all the time. I'm sick of lazy devs and mulitplat fuck ups.
Most of these complaints are about 'unrealistic' elements of the gameplay. Let's remember this is a game, not real life.
Complaining about gameplay and design features like last stand being unrealistic to me are stupid. Everyone knows these things happen in the game, and you play accordingly. Same thing with the knife being a one hit kill.
The issues I hated in Black Ops were the spawn trapping, glitched hit detection, shoddy online performance, f...
I have to admit I'm pretty enamoured by this game. I got it at launch, have played through it twice, and spent countless hours riding around getting in and out of trouble, and still go back to it- only last weekend I watched A Few Dollars More on blu ray then popped in Red Dead for a few hours of western glory.
It ranks definitely as one of the best games this gen.
These 'PC looks better than console' stories should stop being approved. They're not news, they're a given.
What should be a story is if a console game ever outshines its PC counterpart.
All the Metal Gear games from Metal Gear Solid on make up this list, then add the Hitman games and you've got your list.
That's an action game with a couple stealth missions.
Great review.
It's a coincidence that I just started playing this game again on PS3 last weekend after watching the movie King of New York. It's great to revisit it, and I'm being reminded why it's one of my favourite all time games.
I respect your opinion as a fellow Metal Gear fan :)
My main bugbear was the control and camera. I didn't mind the dated graphics, the story is still among the best games have to offer, the cutscenes were great, but have to control snake with the D pad, with a fixed camera, I just couldn't do it- that was the most dated aspect. Being a master of the modern third person action game, I just found myself struggling to control Snake. It might be my short attention span al...
I dunno about remakes, but one thing I can't buy into are these HD re-releases. I bought MGS one of the PSN store, and though it stands as one of my all time greatest games, it felt so dated playing it again, that I couldn't finish. Revolutionary for its time, but too old to go back to now. Since then I've steered clear of all these HD upgrades, like I'll be steering clear of the Metal Gear re-releases. I'm scared it'll sour my memories of some of my favourite games b...
Yeah this misconception that Metal Gear is a Sony exclusive franchise annoys me. It spawns from the fact though that in Japan Xbox isn't even on the gaming radar, so the PS brand gets all the Metal Gear love from Konami and Kojima in terms of marketing, hype and lead development etc.
Though Guns of the Patriots will remain a Sony exclusive title, because I'm pretty sure they paid for a big chunk of it's development.
I'll tell you why it'll be aswesome... because it's Metal Gear!
As long as it plays well online, and by that I mean, running at a smooth and constant framerate without all the crappy bugs, and bad graphics and low native resolution... (I'm looking at you Black Ops).
They weren't going to magically make next gen graphics for the 360 and PS3, I dont know what all the fuss is about, to me the game looked great on PS3.
I like the sound of these changes, it should make the game more interesting.
