This is exactly the kind of shot in the arm the FPS genre needs. Storytelling from an accomplished adventure game creator. I really hope this works out.
I like how trolls call out "graphical shortcuts" as if to say "It doesn't really look that good. I know it LOOKS like it looks that good, but it doesn't. It's because there are shortcuts, so it doesn't really look good even if it looks good, or something."
Killzone 3 looks fantastic, get over it.
I think it's great, too, and the article complains of badly voice-acted dialogue? Malcolm McDowell absolutely killed it as Stahl. Yeah, the story is nothing special, but it wasn't anything special in the other two titles, either.
Some people just want to hate.
We've been hearing about potentials for years. That article is from 2007. Show me the games.
COD is turning out to be the Madden of FPS shooters.
Battlefield 3 is breathing hardcore down their necks, and unlike the COD teams, the team that brought us Battlefield 2 is still largely intact.
Cautious optimism on this one.
Even if it was years from now, an eventual FFVII remake would be incredible.
Pointless... Yeah, the PS3 games still look incredible. But those new Unreal shots look much, much better. Those reflections in the puddles on the street, the facial textures, no aliasing to be found...
We're years away from this being playable but I can't wait for the trailer to come so we can see it in action.
Good for the guy, that's a huge achievement.
Kinda could never take him seriously though ever since he posted that "heavy rain graphic quality destroys the pc gaming business" debacle.
Exactly why it's still worth it to own both consoles. I've been playing on my PS3 more lately, but I can't wait for Gears 3.
How'd you get 5 bubbles with comments like that?
Wow... If Gears went to PS3, Xbox 360's upcoming AAA exclusives list would be down to... Forza.
It makes me sad that people have disagreed with your post.
Having a blast with this demo so far. Finding it far superior to the Xbox 360 demo, though I was having a blast with that, too.
To those complaining about the visuals: The demo clearly does not have all of the options available for cranking up the settings. Be patient and wait to see what the full version has available.
As far as gameplay goes, I'm personally loving it.
Wouldn't surprise me. As one of the biggest gaming sites on the net, it's unfortunate that there's a lot of poor, often biased writing on it. I take every article with a strong opinion from that site with a grain of salt.
DICE to the rescue. Waiting patiently for Battlefield 3.
Haha are you serious? Halo: Reach is not among the best-looking shooters right now.
Those results will be completely different by the time we have a playable game that looks like Epic's tech demo.
Wow. I love how every 5-10 years we get that big leap in quality dropping jaws everywhere. I'm salivating.
David Cage is writing it. Chances are good that it will be far from generic.
