And for the record, I've been playing video games since the Atari 2600 was the latest and greatest, and my fiance got ME into the God of War series. So I gotta agree with the article there.
I wouldn't necessarily think so, but the God of War series is my fiance's favorite. She finished them before I did.
Otherwise, yeah, she's all about LittleBigPlanet and Nintendogs. :-)

IMO they make an impressive amount of good games, it's just accompanied by tons of shovelware. But keep in mind this time around of the amount of 3rd party support they have that's resulting in games like Resident Evil and Metal Gear Solid. This is the most 3rd party support they've have since the SNES days.
Resistance 1 and 2 both got quality reviews across the board. Wouldn't be too quick to jump to conclusions that Resistance 3 won't be appreciated.
Metascores of 86 for Resistance: Fall of Man and 87 for Resistance 2 disagree with you. Apparently the vast majority of the industry agrees that Insomniac makes some of the highest-quality FPS games available.

If you're an individual who doesn't care to tweak graphical settings or dip into the modding community, then it doesn't affect you. But to a great many fans of Crysis, these things were commonplace and feel sorely missing from Crysis 2.
