But this is not a RPG shooter. This is an open world FPS with some RPG elements. There's a big difference. If you expecting something like Fallout with dialogue trees, moral choice, putting skill points into melee or stamina or speech, then you may be disappointed

And this isn't Just Cause 2, with jungles, deserts, snowy mountains all on a supposedly tropical island. It's a realistic South Pacific island

How's this for diverse:
(From a...

So side missions are not integrated that well into the story, some locales are weirdly placed, and some aspects can get repetitive.

Doesn't seem to really justify a 66%

wait, is this supposed to satirical?
Because if not this guy is just idiotic. Judging a game that hasn't even come out, that he hasn't played, and judging it by speculation that have absolutely basis in fact or anything

Can't stand articles like this

Wait, what? I'm not counting or comparing anything. I could give less than half a shit about all of that stuff. I'm just fed up and annoying with this superiority BS I see in every forum, in every comment section.

Like I said, a high PC will obviously have better graphics and better whatever technical settings is available for a PC version. So what? We get that. It's just pure common sense. How does that have anything to do with how a game is on a console? I could...

Is all that really necessary? Of course a PC will always be more powerful than a console, that's just fact and there's nothing wrong with that

I'm a PS3 owner and I'd take the convenience of not having to upgrade anything to have an enjoyable gaming experience any day over the enhancements of a next-gen PC rig

This whole console-PC flame war I see in every forum is just ridiculous. Just let us enjoy our systems. We don't need that elitist ...

i posted this on Gamerant but I'll say it again here
That quote about non gamers and how they dismiss the medium "out of hand as something for kids or immature adults” is so true

As a 20 year-old college kid, video games are just another form of entertainment for me, same as reading a book or watching a move or TV. I could see myself playing games even as an adult, and I guess that's good for the medium. That this current generation and those to come have...

As CoD and Halo are the only FPSs out there or are the only ones that matter and ignoring every other game that encompasses the entire genre?

The series mentioned are not the genre, they are part of the genre but please, please stop equating FPS genre to only CoD, etc

What about Far Cry 3 (preordered today)? Open world, good story, tactical freedom?
What about Skyrim in first person? Portal and Bioshock? What...

I know what you mean. Personally I can't stand multiplayer. I rarely, if ever touch the multiplayer components of the games I buy (which is why I prefer single player only games)

Now I'm 20, but my 10 year old brother has already prestiged in Moden Warfare 3 and wants Black Ops 2, because that's what's all the boys in his class are playing.

So you can choose your loadout before missions? Awesome

Personally I hope this guy isn't the protagonist

Hoping this like a shot from multiplayer or just showing an important story NPC

I would prefer the older guy seen in the trailer, wearing the suit and robbing the store, because this guy in the screenshot just doesn't seem badass enough and looks kind of weird

One thing I noticed that could so how advanced GTA V may be:

It's a Lifeguard jet ski

Now that could just be the name of the vehicle company or...
it could mean that R has really upped the NPCS AI and variety

Because if there are lifeguard jet skis, then it may mean there are lifeguards on the beaches. I don't know if they would just be sitting there or actually interacting with other NPCs, but imagine how advanced and in dept...

I agree with most of those points, especially the recycled moments. My brother would kill me but personally I enjoyed Uncharted 2 way more than the third game. Sure the improved melee is great, the graphics even better, but I felt the story kind of ignored intriguing plotlines that they made seem important (Who is Drake, really?), etc.

And nothing in my opinion reached the heights of Uncharted 2's best moments. The cruise ship was awesome but way too short and really noth...

That Zancudo River screenshot looks amazing...
And can anyone believe that the reveal trailer was released almost a year ago (actually 364 days). I still remember watching the countdown. It sure doesnt seem like a year

So I really hope we get a new trailer tomorrow, a year after the first trailer

And does anyone know when the Game Informer magazine comes out, so I can know when to expect scans online?

At Hitmanforum, they have the scans for the review

Whoever titled this obviously cant read. Not once is realistic or more realistic mentioned.

"Over-the-top vehicle experience" and "over the top" is mention numerous times.

"Improving the "handling, physics simulation and destruction rendition"

"Designing and tuning many different vehicles which form the backbone of our next open world game - that’s a variety of vehicles which extend far beyond t...

I was wondering the same thing.
I'm guessing that it going to more about avoidance. Like you said, they're probably going to be tougher than human enemies, plus have no problems with mindlessly rushing at you. And will probably be in hordes.

So I'm guessing it would be better to sneak past them, to converse supplies. Imagine how intense that will be. If true, this would be my dream zombie game: where wits and stealth is more important than killing them ...

This is so awesome.

"The enemy AI is not just smart, it is as good as any game ever made. They will react based on your tactics and situation, and can change their strategy on the fly. When the enemy about to charge Joel skidded to a halt and then turned and ran after seeing him reload, it was a beautiful moment of gameplay."

I cant wait

Imagine how intense fighting the infected will be. I bet it'll be less killing them, and more hiding from/avoiding them.

If bullets and supplies are so scare and fighting six human enemies is so tough, then going up against a horde of mindless infected is sucidical. So I'm betting it would be best to try and sneak past them or just run if they detect you. Which is how every zombie game should be, rather than the killfests like Dead Rising, etc.
